Just wondering wats the most popular way of watering plants from top or bottom?. I like watering from the bottom when plants get big enough. Just seems t me plants get a more healthier root system that way.
I always go from the top, but if it looks like they need a little extra I'll let them suck up all they nedd from the bottom.
I would recommend from the top only to completely saturate the soil. You have to water in stages, for example pour a 1/4 gallon let sit for 5 minutes, repeat until you notice drainage starting. This tend to give an even distribution. Again grower preference but as a test do the watering from the bottom on a plant and top watering on another. During cleanup after harvest or during transplanting pay notice to where the roots buildup.
Lol only 2 answers in over a week did.nt think it was a silly question. When i look after me sisters house plants it that from top that one from bottom etc.... Still wat I have notice if ya water from the bottom that over watered look ya get after dont last so long.
It is probably just one of those things that are taken for granted. Only after overwatering a plant to death does one tend to realize the importance.
Dont think it really matters with mj but ya know anything thats easy dont cost n gives me an edge on me last crop. Lol I must admit do tend t over water cutting think its a mind thing when they droop just after being taken thats why I asked about wick system.
Lol love is blind am guilty of flocking the odd dead horse when it was time t cut ya losses n move on.
