I got my ass kicked by a vaporizer last night.

My friend made me a light bulb vap. I got my ass kicked all over the place. The night went a little something like this:

I was by myself, waited for the dad to go to sleep as usual. Went out, sat in my little corner. I knew that it wouldn't taste like usual, feel like usual, ect in the smoking process. It took me like 1-2 tries for me to get it right. I started out not holding the flame on long enough and I was getting really pissed because if I had to go get my bowl because this wasn't working I would have made a lot more noise then need be. So I figured I'd show it who's boss, put my rinky-dink lighter to the side and whipped out the huge kitchen lighter. I held that shit on there for like... a minute and I saw that the bulb wasn't see through anymore so I inhaled.... and boy I inhaled. My initial thought was EW this tastes like shit, and my lungs weren't ready at all for the amount I brought in. It's weird, vaporizers are supposed to be more healthy ect but I coughed way more with this than bowls and such. It took me two huge hits just to clear the thing. I did that 3 more times, and on the last light up I couldn't even finish it. I honest to god could not bring myself to clear it, so I ended up smoking like 2/3 of it. I usually sit outside and smoke in my little corner until I'm out of weed, but I couldn't even do three hits of this. Some pieces on the top turned brown, there was no ashes in there so I know I did it right. I figure I can get another session out of it; the entire bottom is covered in pot and only a small portion is lightly browned. I came back inside, sat in my chair, and I think it was fair to say I was completely ripped. From three hits. I definitely got my ass kicked. I highly reccommed making one.

 

I did, it ended up looking like something a crackhead would use.

So I threw it out.

 

I use a candle with a long wick, works very well. I haven't tried a big lighter like that though.

 

after reading this, i just made my own.
i only have fluorescent bulbs in the house, so i actually used the top part of an oil lamp i have. it's like this long curvy glass tube kinda.
anyway, sealed off both ends, made a choke, and pull hole. that shit works really well.
i put in shake, and i'm buzzin nicely. never thought of making my own.
until now, i've only used high end vapes, but this is very similar. and it's def. working.

Light bulb vapes are pretty sweet, I use it for stealthy indoor operations. Plus its a great way to conserve, a gram lasts me like 6-8 stonings.

 

get a real vape.. that way your parents just dont think your smoking meth

 

Get a proper vaporizer. Then you will be able to get a lot more out of the same amount of weed and it will taste delicious instead of tasting like shit. Mine is called a "Natural Goods" vaporizer. it is the best investment in smoking equipment ive ever made.

yeah volcanoes are sweet, but something like 600 bucks a pop. i've rented them before. they're great. nothing like watching that giant bag fill up with nice clean smoke. mmmmmmmm, i think i know where i'm going this weekend.

 

From the sounds of it it seems like you burnt the weed rather than vaporized it.

 

at $140 my hot box vaporizer is most assuredly the best paraphernalia purchase i have ever made. its healthier, gets you higher, and saves. plus you can save the vaporized weed, extract it and cook with it again!!!

 

Not so much. I smoked again with what was left over and I got just as high. There was no ash, or internal combustion, taking place.

 

it wont completely burn but the inside of the bulb can get too hot and cause the bud to smoke a bit making the hit out of the bulb pretty harsh. Ive done this before with my lightbulb. You have to be patient and get just the right amount of heat so it leaves a mist in the bulb rather than smoke. You will notice a difference because the taste is amazing and smooth as compared to the harsh hit you were talking about. I find the best method to heat it is to hold the flame about 2-3 inches below the bulb and shake the weed a few times untill you see it start to "Steam".

i made a lightbulb vape just know and that thing just didnt work for me. i was getting good hits of vapour and no high.

 

Agreed, the Volcano Vaporizer is BADASS
