Question

I have this skirt that I plan on wearing when I go see my sister. It’s a little big so I hade to use a safety pin. So it would fit Would that set the metal deter off?

 

I'm assuming you're talking about airport security.
Well, if it's just a safety pin, and you tell them that and they see it, I don't see why it would be much of a problem.

 

That would be really unlikely, I think. Normal jewelry very rarely sets off their detectors, so a safety pin probably wouldn't either... it has to be something belt-buckle sized or larger, in my experience.

I would still be scared as hell thinking that it could set it off. Maybe a plastic safety pin would be better, but I don't know if those exist.

know anybody with a sewing machine?instead of using a safety pin have somebody tuck it and sew it up.i have to do this with alot of my pants.put the skirt on and pinch the waist till it fits and have it sewed up in a spot that isnt too noticable like in the back or on the side.
