it was ALRIGHT for a hollywood action flick with will smith as the leading ACTION MAN> . but in terms of being true to REAL Asimov , it was a let down. Bi-centennial man did a better job in that category. but overall i was intrigued and gripped and watched to the very end. i liked all the robots.
they can bbut choose not to. not enough money i supposed. it irritated me the way will smith would have to say "english please" every time the 'doctor' tried to describe something that required a bit of listening to comprehend.... the masses do not understand Asimov. hard to believe really...
my vote is fair to partly cloudy.i mean the movie wasnt the best..but it was good.good enough that i bought the bootleg..
if you like scifi and want good bubblegum for the mind this movie was it. If you were expecting an intelectual adaptation of the short stories dont go. Same can be said of sky captian and the world of tom. great bubblegum for the mind, if you are looking mind blowing intelectualism go else-where.has a great 1940's movie feel to it.
i enjoyed it, (I, Robot) it was entertaining. but we ALL know that inevitably, the book is better than the movie. just let it go. for the totally unitiated, it's an easy intro to 3 laws asimov. maybe a few kids will see it and get curious, and discover the beautiful asimov robot works. my dad was an asimov fan, so i grew up with the concepts, and i loved it. no harm done.
I only wanted to see it because it was asimov. I never read I robot, just the foundation series however.
