EVERYONE in the US who has THC in their system should walk, or run, or jog, or ride a bike, or drive a car, or truck, or something, over to their local police station and tell the police that they smoke marijuana and demand to be drug tested to prove they did. When I said "EVERYONE" I litterally mean EVERYONE. The police wouldn't know what to do with themselves because they don't realize how many people truly do smoke, so they wouldn't be able to do anything, their jails would fill up so fast it's not even funny. They might just not do anything.

Well... I guess that won't get weed legalized, but it would sure piss the police-piggy's off, right?

^Everyone on the hipforums that reads this lol
    But yeah good idea.
And then afterwards when we are in court- all plead not guilty to mess with the justice system.

police cant legalize it... they are just pawns in 'The System'

should set a date and do that to someone who has more power than police.

its not illegal to have it in your systems, just to sell it, possess it, use it, or be under the influence. if you wlk into a police station and say you smoke pot, they be like ok than go away.

The guy who said pleading not guilty had a good idea. That would inundate the courts with thousands of trial cases. Mainly because pretty much everyone takes the plea bargain.

Then again the people who did this would receive harsher sentences so I doubt it will ever catch on.

I am sure that if everyone in the USA who smoked walked to the nearest police station smoking that the cops wouldnt do shit. Becuase there would be to many people.

^^ But maybe it would make them realize how many people truly do smoke, and that pretty much every damn one of them is mentally ok, so maybe they would realize it's not as bad as it seems, and that would cause them to maybe not want to work to stop something that everyone does, and cause them to just not arrest pot heads because it'd be pointless and just ruining their lives.

Honestly the only way I can see pot being legalized is if the president decides to legalize it. And seeing how that hasn't been promised since Jimmy Carter was in the white house I doubt it will happen anytime soon.

I mean if you really want to legalize it, why don't you get into politics and then you will actually be able to do something about legalization. Otherwise I think it will be a very long time before it is legalized. The polls show that the major support is for decriminalization on first time possessions, however as far as legalization goes there is a lot of resistance.

And finally because of the fucking US we won't see legal weed in Canada until the US legalizes it.

lol, what do you think "being under the influence" means?

To have it in your system.

Anyways, there's never been a huge problem with cops around here about weed... I personally consider it somewhat legal already.

I think I see what he means. During racial equality marches, people would get gassed and dogs would tear them to bits, but during the HUGE marches, the police couldn't do shit because there were thousands among thousands of people. However, I doubt it would be possible to convince a bunch of potheads to get off the couch for a day to walk. Its gonna take a long time before weed is fully legalized.

remember some of these guys are from the states. i think it's different there. yeah, here in Canada, it's pretty lax. especially a few years ago, during "the summer of legalization" but even since then, nothing major considering how many weed cafes are popping up.
LOL, i remember during that summer, i went to a few concerts, with warped tour being one of them. they had an area set aside for kids to smoke, while the cops watched. lol, it was great. thing is, we weren't allowed to bring in any bongs or anything, so we had to buy them there. which brings me to another topic.

from all the reading i've done about legalization, it's mostly due to lobbyists for major corporations that keep it the way it is. hemp is a pretty versatile resource. fuel, paper, rope, clothing are only a few of the bi-products that can be made, not forgetting any medicinal uses. it's easy to grow, and super cheap, which is why it would be a major blow to the economy. this is similar to the oil industry, and renewable energy.
from what i've been reading about the police state we call usa, i doubt legalization will be happening anytime soon.

my two cents, either move somewhere it is legal, or if thats too far, head on over to vansterdam. lol.

No being under the influence is when you are currently high, marijuana stays in your system for weeks to months, you can't be under the influence when you haven't smoked for days.

No. You cannot get in trouble for having it in your system unless you take legal drug tests for probation.

or you could just write state representatives and take legal action to legalize mary J what I have heard is the projected date for legalization of weed to everyone is sometime in 2009

think about it this way, there are more people smoking pot now than ever before, soon enough our generation will be the ones in power and making the decisions about what becomes legal and what does not

You were high when you came up with this one, weren't ya?

DUI, Public intoxication and whatever else they can come up with. No more funding problems for the police.

If marijuana is detected in your system you are considered "in possession" not what you want if you "drove" up to the station. Matter of fact they passed a law in Michigan regarding it last year. Same reasoning behind getting fired for a urinalysis - its in your system. Sad but true.
