I have an eighth in a plastic baggy, and I'm worried about the air in the bag. How long will they keep? Is there any danger to the air in the bag? I don't want my shrooms to go bad and poison me or anything. My friend said something about keeping more air in the bag so taht when it condenses it doesnt all condense near the shrooms. he said this is how they store dried fruit. Should I listen to him and let more air in the bag? Or should I just not worry about it?
If it's like a zip lock bag I would close it as much as I can and then suck the rest of the air out of the bag and seal it quick. I don't think more air would be a good thing, think about it. If that was a good way to store things why would they always try to be selling vacuum sealing bag machines?
Okay. There's still a little air in the bag though, I mean it's not a true vacuum seal obviously. That's okay though, right? I'm not as concerned with the shrooms losing their potency (although I'd like to avoid that as much as possible) as I am with some sort of dangerous mold or something growing on them.
