Gore/Death Metal

Anyone like this? Bands such as Exhumed, SICK, Mortician, Necrophagist, Infernal Revulsion.

If so anyone in Cali should check out California Deathfest. Last year it was the craziest shit ever.

 

Regurgitation, Gorguts, Prosthetic ****. Necrophagist is head and shoulders above 99 percent of gore metal

 

Necrophagist is by far the best death metal band, followed by Nile.
I think they might be at next year's California Death Fest, Artery Eruption (The band that sets it up) is friend's with them and said they are trying to get them to come.

And I saw Regurgitate last year too, sick show.

 

yeah dude, infernal revulsion kicks ass. ever hear of cephalotripsy or pathology?

 

I dig Exhumed and Mortician. I'm in New England though.

 

Infernal Revulsion was by far the best mosh at CDF (California Death Fest). Cephalotripsy also played there, all I can say about them is their bass player is god... Never heard of pathology before. I'll have to check them out.

 

my favorite death metal bands have always been Death, Entombed and Pungent Stench

 

Digested Flesh, Gorefest, Dying Fetus, , cliteeater, and cattle decapitation. awesome bands.

 

Necrophagist is so boring to me. Check out Psycroptic.

Never heard of them, but I'll have to check them out. I think Necrohagist is fucking awesome though. I don't know how anyone who listens to metal can't like them...

Wow, never heard of any of those. Are they pretty underground? Or am I getting behind on my metal knowledge...

 

Necrophagist is amazing.

I am a huge fan of Cattle Decapitation from Human Jerky to Karma. Bloody. Karma. and they just get better and better.

Also, they are some of the fucking coolest people I have ever met.

Good Gore metal in general is great, but like so much of "extreme" genre metal too much of it tends to sound alike.

id say bloodbath, death, behemoth, and cannibal corpse would be my faves

 

Death is probably one of the best metal bands of all time.

I really rescpect how they border progressive metal, but still have that edge to them.

Opeth is also amazing, even more so live.

 

yeah....opeth is definitely awesome.

 

I saw them at Gigantour last year... fucking brilliant. Probably one of the best bands I have ever heard live, and they have a sense of humor as well.

Oh, and Gigantour is a million times better than Ozzfest, so check that shit out.

I honestly was disappointed to hear the lineup for gigantour this year. I really think dave's fucked for ignoring all the real thrash groups out there to take these (imo) shit bands.
