    just finished pattern recognition by william gibson. it was a good story, and touched on something that pisses me off - marketing commodifying spontaneous movements- but i liked neuromancer better. PR is all set in the present day - nothing futuristic about it.

    Some John Donne sonnets. "Death be not Proud" is a good one. And his poem "The Flea"...he really knew how to seduce them 16th & 17th century gals. I wish I could write like that.

    I just finished The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. Right now I'm about halfway through Animal Farm by George Orwell. For my next read, I can't decide whether to try The Great Gatsby again (only made it through about 30 pages the last time I picked it up) or reread the Harry Potter series. I also have a few series-type books that I've only read the first book. Dune by Herbert, and Foundation by Asimov are a few examples.
