Anything by Jimmy Page or Hendrix. I also love Satriani and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Yes, I know there are other awesome guitarists out there, but they are my top four. But for the best, my all time favorite, if I had to pick just one, would be the solo from Free Bird, live.

I also love The Doors, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull.....G'nR, Van Halen, Metallica, Pantera, NIN, and the list goes on....:) I like almost all kinds of music, but Rock is my favorite, classic, new, whatever kind of rock. All of the above bands have amazing guitar solos.

    Achilles Last Stand - Page/Zeppelin

Probably my personal favorite. The combination of the guitar solo and the drumming is so intense.

    easy as fuck question.

Pink Floyd's time solo is probably hands down the greatest solo ever, according to me and local radio.

If i was on my deathbed id ask to hear that solo one more time.

I wanna say something reggae like 'concrete jungle' by bob marley or 'no woman no cry' live at the rainbow but reggaes perhaps not that well known for solo's.

Im gonna have to say pretty much ANYTHING by lynyrd skynyrd, they are so overlooked and everyone focuses on freebird, which is fantastic in its own right.

If you like solos----check out Jeff Loomis. I think he is in Nevermore?
I was in bands in HS & he went to a rival HS at the same time. Menasha, WI
Very humble guy. On his myspace, he has a recording of when he was 16. Sick.

Look him up on youtube or myspace.----Jeff Loomis.

Ok.....How about listening to a live version of eyes of the world by the grateful dead from the year 1973, talk about long solos, I just got done listening to a 27 minute version of the song. Talk about intriquette<sp>

The first the most successful song to attract a women,imo..
The second the most sucessful in keeping that relationship going,imo..

simple key signatures thats all it takes and a theme to a song.
Comfortably Numb is cool for stoner.. But as a guitarist I like women. Not stoners. Stoner women want love and sentiment not DUH< look how stoned we are imo..

Solo is played throughout the whole song, Not just a highlight in the end..

Want a strat honky tonk style go for solo work by..Mark Knopfler
