Paul Biving Nziengu and U.S. Navy Capt. John Nowell, commander of Africa Partnership Station. Saucedo was on liberty at Sogara Beach on Jan. 14 with three other Africa Partnership Station sailors when they witnessed four men carrying someone from the water. "As we walked up to the crowd of people on the beach, they saw my dog tags and said, 'U.S. Marines, U.S. Marines,'" he said. Saucedo immediately administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation. "I checked her pulse and airway,” he said. “Then I tilted her head back, and somebody volunteered to do mouth-to-mouth while I did chest compressions. Shortly after, the water gushed out of her nose, and she came to. As soon as she started regaining consciousness, we made sure she was OK, and then tried to get additional medical help." Saucedo described the whole experience as scary but credited his reaction to the training he received in the U.S. Navy. "I was afraid when I began chest compressions, but my training just kicked in," he said. The basic life-saving training that Saucedo received is the same training that Africa Partnership Station is teaching maritime professionals from West and Central African countries. Saucedo said he believes anyone who happens upon such a situation needs to do something about it. "Always try to do your best, even if you are not the one giving CPR,” he said. “Do something to help; don't just walk by." "Petty Officer Saucedo's actions exemplify what APS is all about, building trust with the African people so that we can strengthen collaborative partnerships," Nowell said. These stories are sure to get spun into something negative. Positive outlooks and stories are NOT welcome here.
Hmmm. Maybe, he just wanted that woman to suck his cock. :jester: Instead of posting stories of about gay sailors and what not. Why don't you post the atrocities commited over in Iraq by our proud ASSHOLES uniform. LOL.:jester: Iraq, Afghanistan veterans to reveal war atrocities and 'some pretty fucked-up shit' http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Antiwar_veterans_to_provide_grunts_eye_0313.html
You guys already do that, I'm proving there IS another story to be told, stories that you two communists would want to censor. Now others that read this forum can see both sides. I realize you guys want to ban and censor anything oppoing YOUR views, but it is a democracy after all, thanks to our proud men and women in the military.
Like I've stated before, I am against the Iraq war. I'm all for pulling all troops out now. However, it is not the thousands of men and women who made that call to invade, it was the politicians. So I'm simply trying to show that not ALL of the servicemen/women commit atrocities. The majority do things like I illustrated. To give a clearer example, I could post tons of articles about ANYONE who belongs to a particular group who comit crimes, does that then make ALL of that group criminals? Of course not. A little balance is all I'm trying to provide. And no, they are not commiting treason. They are carrying out an action, fully authorized by a vote from congress and the senate, including a majority of democrats, however misguided that vote was. Your anger should be towards them, not the men and women of the armed forces.
Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as: "...[a]...citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation]." In many nations, it is also often considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government, even if no foreign country is aided or involved by such an endeavour. So how in the hell are our guys commiting treason as you say???
Stop avoiding the question YOU SAID they were commiting TREASON! Tell me how now that you have the definition of treason.

Nope, you didn't address the treason question at all. Even IF they did violate the oath (which they have NOT), how is it treason?????
Nope, YOU said it, now back it up. Unless they are commiting acts or conspiring to overthrow the government, it's not treason. Simple as that. If you're going to make baseless accusations I suggest you back it up with evidence.
OK, since you obviously don't know it... "I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." (Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962).
Well as far as I'm concerned and I'm sure to most who read this, you failed to prove your treason accusation. The troops are not conspiring to overthrow the gov't. They are upholdong their oath. As stated in the oath, they are obeying the orders of the President and the officers appointed over them. They were told that this mission was vital to the defense of the United States from foreign enemies and are defending her as such. Me and you can agree that getting involved in foreign entanglements including this war is a mistake. However, it is quite clear that these men and women clearly upheld their oath and did not, and are not commiting ANY form of treason by definition, which is silly to say the least. They obeyed an order from the President. Simple as that. THAT is in their oath. This order by the way was also voted on by both houses and passed overwhelmingly by republican AND democrats. Since you cannot back up the treason accusation yourself, your satement holds very little credibility for all to see. Oh, and I looked at the previous posts, still no example as how they commited TREASON as YOU stated it. Tell me where THAT post is??
However, I commend you for debating like a gentlemen for the most part. No crude comments like the others.
