most people on other forums i asked had no idea what donairs were lol but i guess some people know them as "gyro's" anyways ive never eaten one ripped, but had my camera out today and figured i'd snap some pics of the chickeny goodness, this ones specifaclly called "super chicken"
i guess its like middle-eastern type thing, there are actually a shit load of donair places in Vancouver and u can also get donairs or somthing similar at most greek places u can get chicken, beef, or falafell or a mix of them, there's a couple diff places i go to in Vancouver all are pretty fucking good and slightly different
thats not a gyro, but it does look delicious! hope you enjoyed it....man, i had a huge dinner and i'm already hungry again
haha im going downtown to a smoking lounge and there's a bunch of donair places around there so i might have to get another for dinner lol! btw, im gonna take some good pics of this smoking lounge and post em up here tonight too
hey, thought you may be interested....i was curious, so i looked it up..... donairs, shawarma, and gyros are all fairly similar. it just doesnt look a thing like what i know of as gyros is all.... they're different styles of the same basic food though, and all can be made with various meats.
i shouldnt have come back and checked on the replies. now i'm hungry, too. actually, despite a big dinner i was hungry even before i smoked and read this... damn!
lmao at the americans xD its a kebab, also known as a doner, not donair LMAO. seriously tho you people crack me up
and kebabs come in many, many, many forms. plus there are LOTS of similar foods from the mediteranean and the middle east which are very similar and get translated into the english language in different ways (tabouli, tabouleh) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Döner_kebab donair isnt incorrect
gyros are yummy. I made some like a month and a half ago. tsatziki sauce is awesome, but mine was stronger on the garlic then the ones at the greek restaurant i go to. mmmmmm, lamb
ive never heard of any of them names but it looks alot like a big chicken wrap or like a cross between a wrap and a pasty. it definitely looks delicious whatever the name of it is LOL.
Its called a kebab here.. With Donair meat in it, or chicken kebab or so on. Fucking delic tho. Hello hipforums, i haven't seen you in a long time xD
