I was wondering if i could extract DMT by A) letting some DMT containg plants simmer in water for like an hour or two, strain it, and then let the water evaporate B) make an alcohol still from a pressure cooker, a glue gun and some copper tubing (just take out the part where you put the tubing through water to cool it). put some ground up dmt plants in the pressure cooker and heat untill the dmt vaporises the put some sort of plastic bag at the end of the still to catch the DMT vapor then either inhale or let it cool to room tempature and be left with dmt cristals...
in both instances, you're talking about obtaining the free base (alkaloid) form of dmt, which does not easily crystallize, especially when in a mixture of other plant compounds (which is what you'll actually have with either method). the whole point of extraction is to isolate dmt, to some degree, from other unwanted materials such as [volatile] plant oils
