When you use methadone for opiate addiction threatment you need to come intot he clinic everyday to get your dose. The clinic makes sure you are at a theraputic dose and don't abuse it. I don't know how pain management works though...
To MDA. You wrote the following "First off its SUBOXONE Secondly, whoever said you get really sick when taking SUBOXONE too soon after opiates is just all wrong. Just wrong in general. You can take SUBOXONE whenever you want, but its only going to do its *real* job if you're already in withdrawals. Otherwise it still works but not the same." First off when you take SUBOXONE you have to be in withdraw and opiates need to be out of your system, Otherwise you will go into Precipated withdraw. That is why you get sick. You just can't take it whenever you want "Sorry but you need to have the facts right so you don't mislead other people.
I am the person who first started this thread over a month ago and would like to tell everyone what I did. I was pretty much at the most desperate point in my life when I wrote that, I was trying to find out what to do from anyone and everyone. A couple of days after writing that, I put myself into detox because the withdrawals were killing me. My skin was on fire, every muscle ached, vomiting, etc... when I checked in they put me on 4 mg of subutex (buprenephrine) and they gradually reduced my dose over a 6 day period. I was sent home with 2 day supply and that was it. I have not had an opiate since. It has been 30 days. I am living with my pain so far but while I was gone my ex filed for temp custody of my twins and I now have to fight in court and all of this shit has to come out, the quantity and frequency of my drug use, the money spent (over 30,000 dollars in a 6 month period) and now the fact that on the weekends when I did not have my kids, I did cocaine on quite a few occasions. (that is if they pull a follicle) which they have been known to do. I have never had nerve problems before and I feel like I am going to have a nervous breakdown every morning when I wake up, if I even slept at all the night before. My chest is so tight I can't breath half of the time. An e.r. doc gave me 20 5mg ativan that did practically nothing to relieve my chest and breathing problems. I do see a dr. next week for the anxiety and once that is under control I will be o.k. I have always hated the benzo feeling but I need it right now. I honestly don't know if going to detox was the right thing considering the aftermath, the only good that came off of it is that I am opiate clean.
Good for you Congrats! Your story and going to detox is very admirable. it's not something many people can do. When you see your doctor you might want to ask to try valium. It is less addictive than the other benzos and has a muscle relaxing quality (like flexeril) as well as the sedative properties of typical benzos. It is very effective in treating long-term withdrawal symptoms as well as anxiety. Also, do not forget lots of bananas, water and vitamins. As for the custody case; Can you get a letter from your treatment center saying you are in recovery and sober? I know that helps in this state, don't know if it would in yours. Good luck to you and once again, congrtulations
Sorry dude but you think you know way more then you do, so dont tell me im wrong when ive taken COUNTLESS suboxone the morning after blowing at least 120mg of oxycodone or at least 3 bags of dope. Like I said for suboxone to do its REAL job you must be in withdrawal already, doesnt mean you cant take it before opiates are out of your system. Sayin that suboxone is going to make you very sick by taking it with opiates still in your system you're just wrong, It really doesnt matter if you dont believe me, I have countless first hand experiences that prove you wrong. Sorry but you need to not assume you know everything before you tell me to get the facts straight, I really dont care what you think you know or what you've seen your friends do. I dont care if your friends or that girls friends get sick when they take a suboxone before being in withdrawal. Its not my problem your friends cant hold their drugs and get sick. Like I said Ive taken countless subs after doing a lot of opiates the night before. And im not talking 4mg or any bull shit like that im talking 8mg at least if not 16mg. Suboxone makes a lot of people sick but its not because you take it too soon, its because your tolerance is low and you cant handle the drug. Sorry but I dont like when people try to tell me Im wrong when they are just in fact confused and wrong themselves. Peace and love!
I am in the process of getting all of my paperwork together from my drs and am also planning to move about an hour away, closer to my brother and father of my kids. I really appreciate all of the comments on this site even if some are less than supportive. A lot of personalities, that is for sure. All have helped in the decisions that I have made.
actually MDA just because you take it doesn't mean you know about Because your wrong. You need to read up on it and figure it out. Just because you take it dosen't mean your right. When you read up on it then report back with the know facts. Do you get it prescribed to you "NO" you don't, other wise you would not be talking about it this way. Go to a Sub. Doctor and tell him your theroy, He will not give it to you till you are in FULL BLOWN WITHDRAW. Pease
