So after combining shrooms and pot and having a ridiculous (but enlightening) trip today i think I've just come to a realization of everything. Or an epiphany of some sort.

Peace is a state of harmony. Harmony needs balance. So that means a balance of good and bad. I mean everything is life is an effect, nothing is a cause, everything effects everything else. Like when synchronicities or big coicindences happen, its just when two different effects coincide with one another. There cannot be a cause, or an answer, like the answer to the meaning of life. Because when you do find that answer, like say you believe in Christianity, there's always going to be something more to it or beyond it. You'll never be satisfied. It's infinite and endless, everything just effects eachother. It goes around in circles like an ecosystem. You can keep trying to find this higher being but it'll all just comes back to you thinking about it. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. So in order for there to be good there must also be bad. And that's what peace is, both the good and bad balancing eachother out harmoniosly.

I'm sober now, but i still feel this inner peace and balance. I'm not really happy nor sad. Just content. I've accepted the universe for everything that it is.

I dont know, I could be just talking out of my ass because the mushrooms and marijuana have made me crazy. But I've never felt so peaceful before in my life and I guess that's all that matters. Any insight on this would be sick though

spin is spin. harmony does not require bad. only the abscence of desonence. i.e. conflict.

    Hey
    Nice post

My mind HURTS as I cannot solve this conflict between the two forces!

Are something and nothing both one and the same!?

    NO

    something is something
    Nothing is nothing

Something is an absence of nothing
Nothing is an absence of something

But nothing is also an absence of nothing!
Nothing might even be an absence of Something and everything and anything

    But It can't be that
    Because nothing is Nothing
    but even that is something

I cannot find peace in harmony and balance
    Harmony becomes an argument
    and balance becomes a battle

    >.<

we certainly dont need war to have peace. since war is a man made concept then it does not apply to universal balance, and peace is also a man made concept because peace was what they called non-war. so peace and war do not balance, war begats war and peace begats peace.

yeah i see what you're saying about peace not being war specifically. but wouldn't you still need balance between both good and bad?

Without war we would have no appreciation for peace; without thirst for either we would not be human in today's sense. Evil justifies the battle for peace, and as one more evil act occurs, the call for an equally good reaction is justified. Like an arms race, evil calls for good reaction, and good reaction can arouse evil, and forever on and on.

"we certainly dont need war to have peace. since war is a man made concept then it does not apply to universal balance, and peace is also a man made concept because peace was what they called non-war. so peace and war do not balance, war begats war and peace begats peace."
Each man seeks peace, yes, but for himself. To acquire it, man often steals away the peace of other men. Any communicable concept is "man-made"; I think for the sake of this thread one should equate "war : peace" with "evil : good"

"Why do so many whine about christianity?"
Because, being a theology holding much power, it is disastrous that it has faults and flaws to it. People that whine about it either seek to sap power from it or to correct it's flaws in order to correct the imbalance it causes. It also makes a great target for angsty hatred, when other targets aren't readily available.
