Some former so-called "friend" kept harassing me and my family over the phone, until one day I finally lost my patience and threatened to kick his ass.

So being the snake that he is, he went and reported me to the State Police in my state, over-dramatizing the situation and convincing them I was a "dangerous person". lol

So, they ended up coming to visit me, pounding on my door, and telling me they were doing an investigation on me (for the crime of getting pissed off at being harrassed). lol

Of course, they had to show up when I was sitting there blazing up a joint, with a half ounce of weed on the table in front of me. So I flushed the weed out of paranoia, aired out the apartment, and stopped to think about it.

Then I decided I was NOT letting them into my place, no matter what, and told them through the door that unless they had an arrest or search warrant, they had no legal right to enter my place, and that I had no intention of letting them in.

I had nothing to hide by that point, and knowing that, and being pissed off that they scared the living shit out of me while I was blazing up a joint and settling in to a peaceful meditation, I decided to bust their balls the way they busted my balls.

I made them wait for about a half an hour, till they were finally begging me to let them in, so they could talk to me, and put that phony complaint to rest. lol

So I finally let them in because I felt bad for them, and we proceeded to have a nice discussion about this nonsensical complaint, and they left happy that they could tell their superiors that they had dealt with the situation.

    Anyway, that whole situation sucked.

The lesson here is, beware of people who tempt you to lose your patience, and say things you really don't mean, which they can then use against you with the authorities.

Some people really are that evil.

Why didn't you step outside to discuss with them, instead of letting them in?

The lesson here is actually to not say things that you don't mean. Period.

If they kept calling you and harassing and threatening your family, they are doing something illegal first of all, and provoking you/instigating you to be pissed off and threaten him. At least thats what i think..

because violence solves everything? Please, all "ass kicking" proves is that you're too stupid and too weak to use words. It shows that you've run out of ideas. it shows you're nothing more than a stupid animal.

That was about as deep as my bathtub, what kind of cereal box did you read it off of? People can only be reasoned with if they are capable of listening and sometimes beating the shit out of someone is the only way to get them to listen. You shoulda beat the shit out of that kid for getting your family into it. BTW, how is telling the OP that he's stupid and different than kicking someone's ass? They both reach the same ends, and the fact that you chose to lower the OP and elevate yourself at the same time with your condescending post shows me that you don't even really believe that pseudo-pacifist bullshit.

I wasn't trying to be "deep", smartass. That's common sense. People who resort to "ass kicking" every time someone pisses them off lack some serious coping issues. Its called freedom of speech. People will always talk shit, people will always piss you off, but resorting to violence towards every irritation shows that the person doesn't have many problem solving skills.

^^whereas kicking someones ass might not be the sollution to a problem, neither is throwing around mindless insults. Some people really do deserve to get their asses kicked, words don't always get the point across.

Where did the kid say he had to resort to kicking someone's ass every time he had a problem with them? If someone got my family involved in our beef and the problem persisted you better believe they'd get their ass kicked and I wouldn't lose a bit of sleep over it.

yes, because "kicking ass" solves everything, doesn't it. Never mind turning the other cheeck or ignoring it. Didn't they teach you that in school? People will always talk shit; its called the First Amendment. That's a right. but no one has the right to physically harm another person. No matter what.

^ I agree wif yah, lady. Totally. Especially w/ the red-neck comment on the last page (ehehe). The dude should have just reported the guy for harassment. We all bitch about the System, but in this case, the system could have worked for you. But, in stead, he acted violently and stupidly, and the other guy played it a hell of a lot smarter by reporting him.

I don't think it's a troll. In the US, you can step outside your home, close the door, and speak to officers right outside, and they still can't follow you inside without your consent.

Is that not what it's like in Canada?

I mean, I can guess it isn't from your post, but please elaborate because that's news to me.

lawfully no, but the damd right wing loonies are making the u.s. less and less a nation of laws and more and more one of hierarcal fiate.

unreasonable searches and seasures DO take place. presumed or accused political activity or the potential possibility of unlawful substances being the usual lame excuse.

extrordinary rendition does take place. extrordinary means carried out by government agents or assets in their employ, in direct contravention to otherwise applicable laws.

there are no guarantees, only keeping your head down, i.e. not attracting attention, and of course even that isn't that answer socially.

when people have to put their freedom and reputations at risk, to reduce the risk to freedom and even life itself of others, no that is not a natural condition, not when it involves policies that exaserbate it, but a direct demonstration of tyranny for such a condition to exist.
