Columbus, I think. I don't know why you homies be frontin' on Jesus, I'm not at all a Christian but Jesus was spittin' some groovy ideas... peace, love, compassion; don't see why that's overrated at all.
Edison gets all the credit for inventing the lightbulb even though there had been many people who had invented a "lightbulb". All edison did was bought some patents and made it available to the masses. The reason why he gets all the credit??????? I dunno
^yeah kinda like how bill gates didn't really invent anything, he's just a really good marketer and businessman. although I don't know whether people see Gates as tech savvy or not.
sort of agree on edison...tesla, on the other hand, easily one of the most underrated. but for all of history, heh-seuss wins by a large margin. best children's book character perhaps (rivaling harry potter), but apparently a lot of adults like to read fiction too.
there all over rated to some sense or degree, or rather at least in the sense of the popular mythical perspectives on them. to pick a most from that list i'd have to say columbus though. he wasn't a discouverer, he was a terrorist. a genocidal terrorist at that. he wasn't looking for a shortcut to india either. he was looking for gold. to finance spain's warmaking. and he didn't give a rat who nor how many his crew would have to bloodily slaughter in order to steal it. =^^= .../\...
I voted christopher columbus because A) he didnt even discover america (there are murials on the ceilings of some cathedrals in europe portraying cactii and they were done waaay before columbus reached america and america's are the only place with cactii) B) he was a rapist, a murderer and he also claimed he was doing gods work. How can people be saying jesus was overrated? putting aside the religion here, if your saying jesus is overrated then why arent people saying ghandi is overrated? they were ultimately preaching the same things, love, understanding, peace. I suppose its 'cool' to denounce jesus just because hes religious. :talk2hand
I think it's probably because a lot of people (myself included) believe Jesus was a fictional character. A fictional character with great morals, but a fictional character all the same.
Ghandi is definitely overrated. He was strongly against his wife taking medication to save her life due to his religion, yet he willingly took medication to save his own. He also told the Jews that they should voluntarily suffer at the hands of the Nazis, and that England shoulnd't defend themselves, instead allowing themselves to be taken over but just refuse allegiance. Not the worst on the list though. People were smart enough to ignore him when he started going crazy.
are you a fuckin idiot or are you just trying to be funny? Ghandi and his wife were imprisoned before the end of WWII and 18 months into their imprisonment, his wife died. Six weeks later he had a severe malaria attack and his health started failing and he needed surgery (not medication), so the Indian government released him because they didnt want him to die in prison and cause a riot. They released him and gave him necessary surgery so they wouldnt enrage India. Ghandi told the jews that they would make their deaths significant it they were to defend themselves using non-violent resistance. "Non-violent resistance means a willingness to die in the act of resistance, but it is not about committing suicide." and about england, he said they should "surrender but refuse allegiance" in 1940 when the German invasion of the British Isles looked inevitable. Learn your history buddy.
reagan,. thatcher, roosevelt, eisenhower, are a buch of fascists, coloumbus is stupid and didnt discover america.but none of these are as over rated as the con man known as jesus.
Ya'll got it all wrong!!! Just look at today's current events and it is obvious that the Clinton's Bill, Hilliary and Chelsea are all over rated with the warped attitude that they knnow what is best for all of us. They want to make all the decisions and force us to abide by them.
i chose columbis, i hate him because he accidently was the person who found america (accualy the vikings did first)
