The Verve

who else loves this band?

 

The Verve is pretty good I must say. Reminds me of elementry school actually.

 

maby you were in elementry school when there were blowing up? there reforming again and are recording an album as we speak. they always reminded me of nature,nightime, and the ocean

 

i know its cliche but bittersweet symphony is orgasmic

 

Richard Ashcroft is the most arrogant bastard that i have ever seen ,his attitude is on the puke list just above Liam Galagher's...

 

while this is true he is arrogant atleast he has a great voice....

 

lol. speaking of Liam Gallagher, he's an asshole to his brother all the time on stage. Ive seen videos where he starts looking at Noel saying shit like, "if you mess this up then your fucked". If I was Noel, Id just punch his ass in the face and leave.

Anyway, I heard that the Verve stole Bittersweet Symphony. They went through a bunch of legal rights and shit in court. So it makes it even sader to the fact that the guy thinks he's better than everybody but he cant even write his own songs.

 

Love the Verve.

 

I'm not going to lie, Bittersweet Symphony is the only song of theirs that I am familiar with.

 

The Verve is very cool. I've been a fan of shoegaze since I first discovered Slowdive when they released their first album in 91. You should check them out, you might also like them. Hard to get their cds now, i think they are out of print. Youtube em.

 

i heard them before... i thought it was kinda cool Brian Eno produced two of their songs but i dont think he was interested enough to continue on. I really like that one song by them "Machine Gun" but the best shoegaze is from My Bloody Valentine nothing really compares to them.

 

Sonnett is a good song, too. I play it on guitar with pleasure.

 

did you hear the thaw session? its a track they recorded when they all came back together its like a 14 minute improv song its cool because it goes back to their earlier group orientated material. i hope the new album shows people there possibilities alot of people only see Urban Hyms and dont think of them of anything past pop.

 

i own every album they have ever put out. i dont listen to them very often anymore but when i was 17-20 i usually had at least one of their albums in my backpack especially if i was tripping.

some songs i like but as a whole im not really into it... i like the song "on a beach" as well as "new york" his first album i think is his best overall..hes got some pipes
