Ok so, i live in southern california on the coast and i was wondering if there was anyway i could make a good enviorment for mushrooms to grow wildly in my yard without intentionally putting spores in the soil. i would just do a BRF grow method but the ingredents to do the whole thing are hard to come by. So in conclusion do you guys have any ideas on how to make a part of my yard into a good enviroment for shrooms to naturaloly grow? like potting soil ect?

oh wait, you just want em to magically appear in your yard? sorry dude you need spores, substrate and a casing. and then you gotta pray you do everything perfect and that the mushroom gods bless you with cubes. but if you get those 3 things, read the link i gave you and get started.

    or buy a cow.

i no about growing them. but sence there are spore in the air and shit but they only grow if the conditions are right, i was wondering if there was and way i could make ideal conditons for them. like how subbs grow on people lawns and shit all the time. but having a cow in the suburbs sounds like an idea im might consider. it can live in my 40 square foot back yard.

    not really...

one of the main ones that grow around here and that i have taken spores from and grown indoors as well are copelandia cyanescense (often called blue meanies)

i like them better than cubensis, more potent, and i think maybe it has to do with the amount of baeocystin to psilosin, etc. that it contains as well but the trip is clearer to me than cubensis, especially dried cubensis as opposed to fresh. the difference is only slight, but still a bit noticable clarity.

you CAN provoke them to grow. having a cow or two could help, since the decomposing dung gives a good environment, but if you can get fresh cow shit and are willing to go pick up cow shit, and then spread it in your yard to decompose, that could work just as well.

you could buy spores and indroduce them and through trial and error get them to start growing around the yard, but thats just a waste of money if you ask me

if you can get shrooms wild from near you, get plenty, and try to collect spores from them, and then try to introduce them into the yard, with the proper environment for growth (decomposing matter and dung is definately going to help)

if you happen to get them to grow around your yard, keep the soil and everything a stable environment, more decomposing matter can be added.

if you pick them, READ CAREFULLY, wait until AFTER they have opened and released spores, try tapping them on the caps a little to get more spores out, and then CAREFULLY CUT THE STEMS HALFWAY TO THE CAP

this way, you will not ruin rooting colonies of mushroom cakes basically, as doing that can ruin the whole wonderful growth of shrooms you have going

alot of people do this when they go out to pick in the wild, the just yank up shrooms and dont think about things like that, and i have seen cow pastures where they grew in great numbers have almost none the following year from this

youll have alot of people say its a waste of time on here, but if you have ways like i have mentioned around spending money to try this, then go for it, you can get them to grow, the cows near me have gotten out alot lately and have roamed free off and on for a couple days at a time in my back yard and i have introduced spores from the indoor mushrooms out there, and have actually had success, there are 4 of them growing in a little group already early in the season, that i am going to leave alone to spread the spores

its not going to be anything that is in any way a garunteed thing, so i wouldnt put too much effort or spend money, but its something that could be fun to do

IMHO -> Waste of time, effort, and money. Grow indoors.

I spread it all over my lawn and shit. i even made a few pattys. i needed something to do. if by some chance mushrooms do grow then thats cool. actives or not. mushrooms intrest me. but actives would still be way better.

if you dont want to go through thr process of making the cakes, and sterelization and inoculation and everyhting , just get a pre- sterile grow bag and a spore syringe....thats what i did my first time until i got the hang of things, i find it to be much cheaper to just make the casings myself, and alot higher yeild...
