In the spirit of our most recent holiday, Easter, I thought I would bring to you guys' attention an Egyptian story that is unknown to most. Horus is the Egyptian Sun God, who is the son of Osiris, God of Life and Death. Horus's story is told in the Egyptian Book of the Dead, which was written 3,000 years before the birth of Christ. Horus has long been believed to be the basis for the Christ story, and here's why:

    1) Horus was born of the virgin Isis on December 25th in a cave/manger.

    2) Horus' birth was announced by a star in the East and attended by three wise men.

    3) He was a child teacher in the temple and was baptized by “Anup the Baptizer” when he was thirty years old.

    4) He had twelve disciples and performed miracles such as feeding bread to the multitude and walking on water.

    5) He raised one man, El-Azar-us, from the dead.

    6) Horus was called "KRST," or "Anointed One.”

    7) He was crucified, buried in a tomb and resurrected.

So here we have a story written 3000 years before Christ was supposedly born, that parallels the written story of Jesus. And it doesn't stop there. There are over 30 different Messiah stories that have these parallels. Turns out it's all based off of our Archaic worship of the Sun and Stars. All this can be found, in greater detail, in a documentary called Zeitgeist (www.zeitgeistmovie.com).

Also, within the Book of the Dead are rules that are almost identical to the Ten Commandments. Hmm....

The Universe is all about cycles, Horus and Jesus were both Christs. I believe Buddha may have been darn close to acheiving ascension without having been a said annointed Christ... The Chirsts come along every couple of thousand years "ages" to help us remember we came from where we are going and what the hell the point of life is in hopes that someone somewhere get the idea... We are the christs in amnesia...

Zeitgeist does the detective work well for facts but their interpretation of the facts they dig up is skew-ed and irrelevant. They just thrash Christianity but leave the audience in a spiritual funk and feeling completly robbed and screwed over by the whole enigma, smoke and mirrors/cloak and dagger, arrangement that our present day and age "society" really is. Society meaning Politics, Economy, and Religion.

Now take Zeitgeist and mix it in with "What the Bleep do we Know", "The Secret", and "The Elegant Universe"

Ah then you get a lil better picture of what the hell is going on here.

Oh and one more thing... If Christianity is soooooo bad. I don't know why Zeitgeist try so hard to completly discredit ALL of it when the book or revelation shows some evidence that there EXACT thesis will take place.

The anitchirst will rule over the whole world with his mark. the credit system.

Its all about a political conspiracy, the RFID's are the mark.

I believe that this final battle will be about the Truth. And that truth is we do not have to be controlled.

ONE-NESS, LOVE AND COMPASSION OF ALL, or DIVIDE AND CONQUER, which side are you on?

I know what the arguments will be... but what about bad people? and bad child raising, if the world were free from the control that is on it now. You would not have to worry about such things.

    ONE LOVE BABY. ONE LOVE.

    PEACE

    Congratulations, you are officially gullible.

I'll quote someone else on this forum (OkieFreak) who already went to the trouble of actually researching. Yeah I know me quoting him is the lazy way out but why spend more time finding facts on an already-resolved issue...

"By modern standards, Massey's methodology is somewhat "loose". For example, his allegation that the Egyptian god Horus had twelve disciples appears to be based on a picture of twelve reapers on a mural near a depiction of Horus with no other connection between them. His allegation about the Egyptian god walking on water like Jesus is based on the story of a different supernatural being, a fish man, Annanes, who regularly emerged from the sea during the day and went back at night. Close enough? What about the virgin birth of Horus? The legend goes that the goddess Isis was impregnated by the penis of Horus' dad, Osiris. This was a miraculus event, considering that Osiris was dead at the time, but not quite a virgin conception. Horus' earthly father is said to be Seb (sounds like Joseph?), but actually Seb was Horus' grandfather, and he was "earthly" in the sense that he was god of the earth. Contrary to Massey, Horus didn't give any sermon on a mount and wasn't crucified between two thieves. He was fed to crocodiles. I could go on, but I think you get the idea. It's easy to find parallels if you make them up."

Furthermore, the "December 25th birth date" has zero relevance to Christianity, since the birth date of Jesus was never mentioned in the Bible! The decison to celebrate Christmas on December 25th didn't come until after the death of Jesus...MUCH after. Just like the holiday of Christmas itself which was started up well after the time of Jesus and has no REAL connection to the religion...it's like Hallmark cards.
