Ya think maybe our government is attempting to whittle away our civil rights over time bit by bit to where we'll be prepared to make the transition smoothly?

And given that our government and corporate leaders are selling us off to China, why would our government try to mis-inform us about China being fascist, when it seems to me it's in their best interest to make China look good to us, don't you think?

I like to give what these guys say the benefit of a doubt. Maybe some of them have more freedom than we think, but none of their arguments hold water.

The indians in our country enjoy the same civil rights we do, and in fact where I live they are the only ones who can operate a casino, and their whole tribe is rich.

Not the case with the people in Tibet. The Chinese government didn't even allow journalists in Tibet until recently, they say because they were avoiding embarassment in light of the Olympics, but what were they hiding?

Then they slam us for the war in Iraq. They're right, we all know the war in Iraq is a major violation of civil rights on a global scale, yet a majority of us oppose it, and we protest against it openly.

Maybe instead of being defensive and attacking America for it's flaws (which we openly admit), the Chinese should question themselves, and where they stand on civil rights.

Yes, almost all the message was filtrated by our goverment, but I'm living in CHina, I should know
something, especially when I grow up, I thirsty for this story. I had asked my parents why this happen?
who is right? who is wrong? They tell me :"actually the students is good, they try to make the country

serious..." In China, most people of the same generation with my parents (49 years old now), they know who
is right who is wrong. But most of them are not sure if some students killed or not, no need to mention

Do you know there was a leader who once was the Chairman of China, who stood on the side of students, who
happened to had been live in the same town of me. His name is Zhao Ziyang. I'm very glad he also appeared
on one of the videos. All the people in my little town know him and will remember him forever as a proud
of us and also because he had helped us when he was Chairman. Although most Chinese may forget him, because
he was house arrest after 1989.
He support the students, because he also hated the growth of corruption. He was died in 2007, the goverment
forbid to bury him in Babao Hill where many revolution pineers were sleeping forever.
Skip, you said "I would like China to be democratic and a promoter of HUMAN RIGHTS"
you just make right for a half or made a mistake, dun't mention human rights to us anymore!! that's too blur.

most important problem of CHina is DEMOCRACY but not human right which you all haven't defined well yet.
we do not happy with our goverment, on the contrary, almost all the Chinese dissatisfy our lacking DEMOCRACy

So how to solve the problem? should we need the help your country? your army? Do you think protest will work?

She said:"if the revolution in 1989 repeat again, could we change this country? That's never happen. what

from one video, if you can learn Chinese). This mother has lost her son, she hate the goverment much more
stonger than any of us, but do she need the help of Americans? I believe she will refuse your hlepful hand
if you lend your hand to her. Because she know A cournty, just like a family has her own dominion, suppose
the father of a family beats his kids, A good hearted and strong foreigner killed the father and find another
man take place the father's position, do you think the wife and children will accept this happily???
All families have the priorty to make decesions by themselves, very countries have the similar priorty!!

This just like the war in Iraq. I can see how you Americans help others, how liberate Iraq people and
how happy Iraq people now!!! Under the name of HUman right, under the mane of people like you,How many children
lost their fathers, How may fathers lost their children!!!! YOur soldiers dead for petroline, for profit of
capitalists!!!! HUman right, a funny but useful tool of your leaders.
think about what is your feeling, if Bush was captured by foreigners and garroted?? I tell you, If I was

in 1989. What riots want is just disturb the peaceful life of Tibetan, and try in vain to break up our country.
Did they have any reasonable slogan??? As a Chinese, I cannot see any justice from them.

I just try to illustrate thinkings of common CHinese people, which will be
different with the voice of both your and my goverment

many Chinese people cannot read English and most Americans cannot
understand Chinese also, many information we both can access to were translated by someone else

I major in Chemistry, I hate politics which full of lies although I had been interested in law, literatures, history and what is more my math is even poorer than my English.
