emo people....what do you think?

I'm sure if they SS didn't wear those uniforms they would still be complete Nazi's. Wearing the clothes doesn't make you the person; just identifies you with a certain group of people. A stereotype, if you want?

Also, I wouldn't give that much credit to the Hippie Culture of inspiring individualism through their attire! That's a ridiculous statement. There were many-many before them that expressed their individualism through their clothes.

Why? Because they're just the same as every other subculture: difference in thought. To say that the emo subculture is a load of bollocks is basically saying all subcultures are bollocks, and passing a universal judgement of this particular culture on the entire basis of appearences and trivialities, rather than the character of the specific individuals, is just as narrow-minded as the people that every subculture look to overcome and rebel against.

You aren't helping society progress to becoming an accepting one...But then again, it never will because the human condition is immutable. You must learn to become accepting in your own self.

1) Only a few emo's are actualy gay
2) The most gayisch sub-gothic scene, is the oldskool batcave sceen...

and besides, Emo's are only indirect familiar to the gothscene.

"emo" people probably look at us and think something about us

 

alot are gay or bi. The ones that are not look like it. i looked up the batcave scene and it labeled Killing Joke as part of that scene. It cant be gay if Killing Joke is in that scene cause they influenced Metallica for fucks sake.

 

Our school went through the greabo stage more than the emo, i know people who have cut, i probably know people who cut now. My friend used to when she was going through a really rough patch. I know loads of people with loads of problems, life not peachy and everyone has their own ways of dealing with it.

What i dont get is who are you to judge them?
Yeah some of them will be doing it to fit in but unless you can say you never changed, anything, about yourself to fit in/get friends/impress that guy/gal then go to hell cos you've done it too. If you never had to try to fit in then all that means is you got it easy, not everyone gets friends just like that, maybe theyre lonely and they want some friends.

And sexuality? Sorry but i dont see what hairstyle has to do with what gender you like.
