hippies are connected to universal divinity awareness and so if people don't know us in knowledge terms, they know us in the vibrational essence of the universal self, we are all the same person
I'm pretty sure she's not a joke user - I think she's a real hippy chick in high school - but I totally know what you're saying. She does sometimes pull out statements like that that're like, I have no idea if that's a joke (in which case it's pretty funny) or not (in which case whatever, I've said some flaky stuff in my time too).
I would have never handed my babies over to a stranger to hold, no matter how friendly or nice they appeared! Heck, my head would nearly do a 360 circle if someone even attempted to touch my babies in their carriers while out in public. Back off! When the twins were newborns, I (gently) let it be known to family and friends that I would prefer them to wash their hands before holding them. Now before you accuse me of being a germ freak *giggles* this was simply because they were so small and fragile, my twin daughter had been in the NICU due to complications and we were always required to scrub a full 3 minutes before coming into the nursery. They had a clock in the NICU right above the sinks to time it and you had to use a scrub brush and iodine on your hands before entering. Sometimes it irritated me when all I wanted to do was get in there and hold my baby, but I realized it was for the health and safety of the babies in critical conditions. Anyway, I guess we kind of got into the habit, and what with all of the ins and outs we had with the hospital within the first few months of the twins' lives I became really over protective for a while. Once they got bigger and stronger, I definitely loosened up. Now I'd consider myself a pretty laid back mama, much moreso now than I was with my firstborn son, that's for sure! But still, no strangers!
I was gonna say, I've changed my mind - now I do think Molly is a joke user. Which is a shame, because I was all psyched to have another Molly around. I also think I'm totally naive and gullible.
"Oh thanks! When my skin peels away in big sheets because of my leprosy, tissues aren't really enough to clean the pus up, but this thing is larger and softer. It should do nicely."
