for a behavioralist position teaching families how to work with their kids with disabilities. I miss working with special needs kids and it pays A LOT more than I am making as an addictions counselor... I have only had this job for 2 months but I know it is not for me...
well when it rains it pours...the job interview went REALLY well. They are calling me this Friday to let me know. But...University of Nevada called me to interview with them next week for a full-time Academic Advisor position. That would be huge because I would be faculty and hence get practicly free tuition for a master's program. And it is hard to get a faculty position and a Uni without have having prior experience...so when we have to move it may open a door for me at CSU Fresno and I would love to work for a CSU since I graduated from one. Decisions man......
Oh, yeek. This kind of situation is so stressful. Bird in the hand, or...? Do you think when they call on Friday you can tell them you need some time to think about it or something?
take the interview with teh academic advisor, if they offer it for you, take it. thats a pretty awesome position
No, I'll take it and then if I get the University job i will put in my notice and try to do both for awhile (they are totally different hours). Both jobs pay around the same. The Uni job is salary though (ie-they work you like a dog prob) and the Behavioralist job is hourly. If I got the behavioralist job I could also still stay where I am right now part-time as a CAD Counselor....but for the Uni I could get my therapist liscense instead of just being a counselor like I am now... Man it's tough
