I used to get a little shaken up by some of the " are you afraid of the dark" episodes. lol... And I can relate to just about all of that. I remember every one of those.

might as well try to get this topic up again. The 90's were too good to put off now :) Just to add to the list.. i remember always making these popper things out of paper. you folded it a special way, and when you "flung" it down i'd make a loud noise. cant recall the exact name if there even was one. anyone ever made anything similar?

Haha I remember a lot of things of those, atleast all the ones that hit the Netherlands. Most of those ended up being around here from 1995 to 1998. My memory goes from 1992-1993 so I remember most of the 90's. As do most of my friends.

This is what suits me (I am Romanian):

You can sing the rap to "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air" - no, I don't know the song, but I've seen the show called 'The Prince of Bel Air' (a few episodes anyway)

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early
on a Saturday to watch cartoons. - Well, maybe even during the week... I did get up early to watch 'Sailor Moon' some hours before going to school (when I had classes in the afternoon)

You have pondered why Smurfette was the only female smurf. - YES!!

you danced to "wannabe" by the Spice Girls, Females: had a new motto,
Males: got a whole lot gay-er. (so tell me what you want, what you
really really want.)...and wore the 5 in. shoes - Just watched the video and listened to the song 'Wannabe'

Captain Planet. - YES!! I was in primary school...

You remember when super nintendo's became popular. - I heard about them... but never got to see one...

You remember watching home alone 1, 2 , and 3........and tried to pull
the pranks on "intruders" - Just watched Home Alone 1 and 2.

You remember New Kids on The Block when they were cool - Yes

You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By
    The Bell " - sure

You watched the original Care Bears, My Little Pony, and Ninja Turtles - I watched the Ninja Turtles and had a few magazines with My Little Pony

NANCY DREW AND THE HARDY BOYS WERE THE BEST MYSTERY BOOKS - I read a few books from the Nancy Drew series from my English teacher

You know the Macarena by heart. - I did back then...

When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs. - Yes

    Heads Up 7 Up. - 7Up, yes...

"POWER OF LOVE" BY CELINE DION..ONLY COUPLES COULD SKATE TO THIS. - the song is still famous

That "Little Mermaid" - I got the video cassette and was so happy! still have it

Crying when Mufasa died in the Lion King. - a little maybe

Getting the privilege to sit in the front seat of the car. - I did once or twice

Dinosaurs. - definitely - Jurassic Park and the dinosaurs being exposed at the Geology Museum close to School no. 11

    Sailor Moon. - even now

Wishbone. (what's the story wishbone) - seen that on Animal Planet when I was 16 I think

When Chris tmas was the most exciting time of year. - yes

Scrapes & bruises were kissed & made better. - yes

When Ninja Turtles ruled the world. - certainly

The 90s was also the decade of the ear-piercing car alarms and carjackings, especially in Florida where tourists were targeted. That seems to have died out.
