I'm sorry, I know that it's wrong. I am an army wife. So I have every right to say what I am about to say.

Nobody fucking knows what they're talking about. Yea so a couple of stupid fucking idiots had to make asses of themselves, and by doing that they made the entire army look like shit. The military is NOT proud of this, this is not what they are about, at all.

People are fucked up. People always will be fucked up. It's not just the military. It's society itself, and every once in a while we get a few eggheads, that haven't gotten it through their head exactly what they represent, but that is EXTREMELY rare. These men, are good men. Most of the time.

I'm very very sure, that whoever decided to be an asshole, was most likely kicked out of the army.

I think we need to get out of Iraq as soon as possible. Bush sent us there under alterior motives and now the soldiers and their families have to suffer for it.

Sure, most come back seemingly unaffected but what about those that aren't? I'm concerned for both the soldiers' individual mental states and the image the US presents of itself to the rest of the world with our unwanted presence in Iraq.

As for the specified incidents, that's on the individual soldier who commited those crimes not the army as a whole (although I see where you were going with it.)

i am in no way saying that the whole army is just a bunch of people who go around and cause trouble, i am aware that this is only a very small percentage, but i think that this very small percentage shouldn't be in iraq. some of them are kicked out of the army, but some dont get caught, theyre only kicked out if they post the video on youtube because thats the only way the army would ever know, all i am sudgesting is that thay keep an eye out for it as opposed to inforcing when they find out

I think it's time we stopped seeing everyone that puts on a US military uniform as a hero and see them as what they are, people doing a job, and one that isn't that well paid to begin with. With the pay levels and revised/lowered recruiting restrictions there are going to be more and more "bad eggs". It should be expected.

Some of those responsible for the worst crimes against humanity during this conflict are what we euphamistically call contractors. They receive higher pay than active service personnel and by Presidential Edict they are held above any criminal liability. We hear those reports of contractors being captured or murdered in Iraq, but what the average person doesn't realize is they are hired mercenaris not carpenters and engineers working on the rebuilding of Iraq. They are hired guns who in many cases are given the power and authority to direct our GIs. They were responsible for Abu Ghraib.
