For me: Welcome To This World (Primus) Wild/ Wild gravity (Talking Heads) Color Me Blood Red (Converge)
could never trip to heavy metal. if you decide to trip do yourself a favor- 70's grateful dead. trust me.
Yeah, I forgot that I posted this in the Heavy metal section. It can be any genre of music. And, music is music. Some metal is good, and some classic rock is good. Grateful dead is over rated.
Not I. Too folky. Gimme 60s GD bootlegs any time, much more psyched out! Some Jefferson Airplane always does the trick, too. Anyway, no metal for me either except that time I listened to my favourite Lunar Aurora album on HBWR seeds.
metal makes me trip out REALLY hard though. especially trivium, their old stuff, from the ascendancy album. that was some trippy shit believe it or not.
LD 50 is a great album to trip with. I love metal just because I love it so much more. I'll swing my head around for 20 minutes and still rocken. Though, I get a headache the next day if I move my head around fast, but shit. Good stuff.
Sadus, Mayhem, Death, Sleep and Electric Wizard are all good metal bands to listen to while tripping. I could never narrow it down to 3 songs.
Electric wizard rocks, definently, I discovered them after listening to Kyuss. This song should really replace one of my songs in my list: 50 Million Year Trip (Downside Up)- Kyuss The name infers so much.
That's one of my favourites of them too. Generally I think Kyuss is just ok though. Slightly more interesting then Queens of the stone age and the desert sessions.
Psyopus has stickers and shirts that say 'eat acid and listen to Psyopus.' Check their myspace out sometime. Also, Sincebyman has some good atmospheres (hardcore moreso than metal, but they use lots of delay/trippy sounding reverbs)
i've never actually done any psychedelics, but if i was tripping on something, i would definitely want to be listening to Planet Caravan by Black Sabbath.
