You know i watched some of his other videos too the more Chirstian centered ones. I believe the path he preaches to find god is correct. But this brainwash of being an EVIL BAD SINFUL being doesn't sit well with me. I beilive we are beings of unlimited Love blinded by sin, and when we are revelaed sin it's so that we can simply chose love. That's repentance. The choice to consciously DO,BE,PRACTICE,PREACH love.

Screw this fear and damnation and judgement and hell bit. Only people who refuse to strive for love go there in my lil old humble opinion. Some of us do refuse love, and that is sad. But i'd say the majority of us live for LOVE. I seriously pitty those who don't :( :( :(

    I agree 100%.

Love the sinner, not the sin.

They call themselves Christians because they like the title but feel they shouldn’t have to earn it. I mean shouldn’t Jesus and God accept people just because they call themselves Christian? I mean what more could Jesus and God want? Didn’t these Christians pick out the parts of the Bible they liked and do them? What could be wrong with that? What more could Jesus and God possibly want?

But then didn’t Jesus say: “Why, then, do YOU call me ‘Lord! Lord!’ but do not do the things I say?

The bible is in complete harmony..you should believe and have faith in every word of the bible. It is the inspired words of God.
    ever hear this..kinda funny to..

So, there was this town where it hadn't rained in a long time, the crops were dying..they needed rain bad. So, the got the local religious leader together and hiked up a hill nearby and prayed for rain..and it never came..do you know the reason why? cause the did not bring their umbrellas..
faith without actions, is no faith at all.

We need to take the Bible seriously, but not literally.

It depends on what you mean by "not literally".
Because there are some who consider that even the parables in the Bible are to be taken literally which is just, well, stupid! But aside from that, what the Bible says can be taken literally.
Also remember that what people say that the Bible literally says is not always what the Bible literally says.

I'm with you on that one...the parts I take seriously are the parts concerning Christ and the letters of Peter and Paul.....

the fact is, that the Bible as we know it was put together hundreds of years after Christ, and there are several books that were "chosen" not to be put in...it has been edited many times since then. One cant help but wonder what has been altered, omitted, reworded....also, what has been lost through translation after translation.

I dont doubt the word of God, but I am wary of the workings of Man

I guess my question would be where do you draw the line? Do we only believe what we want to believe? The Bible itself says; all scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching and reproving and setting things straight or is that too the working of man?

There are a lot of things that Jesus did that he didn't expect his followers to do. Jesus never asked his followers to be poor or have no material possessions. As for giving freely, most true Christians that I know are very giving people.

I think he did encourage poverty and said that wealth (presumably without sharing it) would be a really big problem in getting to Heaven.

He did discourage being rich because he said it would make being a Christian more difficult. But encourage poverty, putting the Kingdom first yes; being fugal maybe, but there is no special virtue in being poor! The bible says that if one does not try to take care of his family he has disowned the faith. Thus if you have a family, voluntary poverty would be disowning the faith.
