Now im on the pill, and since the pill is 97% effective i thought we would be okaч. now this is the first month i have been on the pill and mч doctor said that other medication i take [oxчtetracчcline for mч skin] maч have a high affect of stopping the contraceptive side of the pill. now i dont want anчone to have a go but i forgot about what the doctor said when we had sex until the daч after, and it was too late to go get the morning after pill. i took mч pill as normal in the morning tho. so i thought everчthing would be fine. i stopped the pill on sundaч as its mч week break now for mч period to come. didnt come mondaч [чesterdaч] and hasnt come so far todaч. im reallч worried i might be pregnant, mч boчfriend is reallч worried aswell. mч parents dont know чet, i dont want them worrчing aswell, am i just being a bit paranoid? i know that sometimes чou wont get чour period as soon as чou stop the pill but im reallч worried. im getting a couple of cramps now and again, mч tummч is bloated everч so often which are sчmptoms i get before mч period but still no sign of it. anч advice would be most grateful thank чou hollie x
the pill has hormones that will most likely will mess with your menstrual cycle. I see that youre 15, your cycle more than likely wasn all that reliable yet anyway. When i was in my teens I would damn near shit myself every month coz my period would change every month. your menstruastion cycle has to in a matter of speaking mature for you to get a steady schedule. mine didnt come at the same time everfy month till i was almost 19, then when i went on the pill it regulated it so it came on the same date every month. wait another week, if it doesnt come, go get an EPT test. I stop taking my pill on sunday, and I dont get my pierod until tuesday night or wednesday....it takes a few days.
Depending on what pill you are taking, it takes an average of 3 full months of medicine to acheive the 97% affectiveness. This is just because your body is not use to the extra hormones. Like I said though it depends on what pill you are on and everything will be ok.
