Wikipedia. Go on the discussion section of anything remotely politcally based, and you will find all the nutjobs of the world gathered. Its a bunch of warring factions arguing that the article should be written soley from their perspective. Combine this with the group screaming it should be unbiased, when all they really mean is that advocate that the mainstream view should be considered an absolute truth. Blah, that place is far more scary than /b/ could ever pretend to be. A week or so I was thinking of commenting on Reductio ad Hilterum on how some people have gone overboard and use the term to automatically reject any claim that uses Nazi Germany as a historical example, no matter how legitimately and fact-based, but I figured I'd get a response along the lines of "Yeah, Hilter would of said the same thing. You must be a nazi," Sorry, random thoughts. Thus the forum choice.
I wasn't debating any. Far too crazy in there. And really, the second worst? Somehow hearing that cheared me up in an odd way, so much that I actually tried using an emoticon (still don't get those things). Thanks.
I love wikipedia. But I've never been on a discussion page... Maybe I'll go on and stir stuff up a bit...?
i for one think Hip Forums is a great place to debate and discuss. i've already learned so much... and as for the nutjobs, its fun arguing with them
