what do you think about the show? I remember a show going on talking to people that got the extreme makeover and talking about the down side, but i didn't get to see it. so what is your opinion?
I know a lot of people whinge about that show, but the way I see it is, that the people voulnteer to have the surgery so who cares? They chose to do it!
although it does kinda reinforce plastic surgery as a quick easy and viable option, like having your hair coloured, and the reality is that its a lot more serious than that. I suppose its just kinda sick that peoples insecurities and faults has been made even more a commodity by introducing the media.
i don't really mind the show because most the people on there are deformed somehow and probably really could benefit from it, but it does make it look too easy. I much prefer the Home edition.
I dont really watch these type of shows...but I think it's great to see someone who has a deformity of some kind (or someone with no teeth, something like that) get themselves fixed. These people probably cant afford it, which is why they go on the show.....so it's all good. Let the fucking show pay for it......Im not being forced to watch it, thank god The idea though that this has become such a huge part of pop culture....like the show "the swan"' which seems like it takes more average looking women who just dont like their looks and promises to change them from "an ugly duckling into a swan" complete with new breast implants and a nose job.......I dunno, the whole idea of that kinda irks me. Seems like these women are trying to live up to society's standard of beauty. But the bottom line is that it is their lives and if doing this makes 'em happy, well good for them. More power to 'em!
god i watched that when i was hung over and waking up....its terrible because what if you dont do the makeover then you leave with this shit feeling because its a bitch with a mic and a camera crew running up to you like WOW YOU LOOK LIKE SHIT HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WEARING THIS STYLE, HIGH SCHOOL? and then theyre like i gotta go to work sorry, and then you feel like shit...but yeah ive only seen it once its funny though
