do you consider yourself a metalhead?

Not really, but my boyfriend is, and so I've been listening to bands I never thought I would. Bands like Ayreon and Pain of Salvation, Opeth, Symphony X are some that I really like

i'm not a Metalhead.


i'm a freaken Metalbody ive been listening to Metal for so long.

 

Oh man I used to fuckin' mosh my brains out at concerts and play my metal a little too loud, but my boyfriend is a hippy so now I'm a little bit of both. I know, odd combination, but I have different personalities

^^And I agree what "hailtothekingbaby" said. Most metalheads believe that if you don't ONLY listen to metal, you're not metal enough to listen to it. I find that quite intriguing.

Im not really a metalhead. I like most kinds of music. Metal is definatley one of my favourite types of music though. But I dress like a 'gangsta', so yeah.

 

yeah...i would be considered a metalhead. why?

1. i was the singer/screamer for a metal band
2. i love metal music...helps me out everyday
3. ive dated the metal head
4. i've been the groupie...only for one band
5. i've survived numerous circle pits with flying colors
6. i'm a friggin BAMF
7. ask anyone...
8. i'm the most metal chick my friends know...ask them if you dont believe me.

 

I love metal music but I'm not a metalhead. I listen to all types of music, it's about the quality not the style.

2-3 years ago I would've considered myself a metalhead but thankfully I grew out of it. I've since discovered an entire plethora of music and have grown an appreciation for a lot of stuff I would've never thought about listening to back then.

In the end, it was the fanbase that drove me away from metal. I got so fed up with the elitism bullshit and the "my metal is truer/heavier/superior to your metal". What a crock of shit. I doubt I'll ever be as big a fan of metal as I was back then but every now and then I'll crank up some Amon Amarth or Morbid Saint. There'll always be a part of me that still likes it.

 

i agree with you on that one. some of the people in the fanbase are rediculous. if your metal isnt all hale satan with death metal vocals, then its considered shit. sorry...but my metal is fun and makes me happy haha.

thats cool that you're into different stypes of music too. as long as the music sounds good to me, i'll listen to it. probably why my playlists consist of anything from *nsync to frank sinatra to killswitch engage to kelly clarkson to the beach boys to naughty by nature. its a fuckin rad meting pot of tuneage. i love it.

Im not to much into the Raw Death metal and black, but anything that lean of the prog side is my friend. So im prety much a metal head.

But I also like straight forwad metal like the oldies (maiden, Megadeth,Slayer,pantera)

 

I couldn't wake up in the morning with out a dose of metal

 

I like some metal like Slayer, Death, Sabbath, etc.

But I also like other stuff, like classic rock, jazz-rock, prog, punk, eastern sitar music, etc.

Depends on my mood.

i love my metal, my friends may not like it that much, but i wouldnt live without it
