I just saw a commercial for Pizza Hut with Miss Piggy promoting pizzas- one of which was loaded with pepperoni. That's just a tad disturbing........
I saw that commercial when I was still in florida.They all start fighting about who gets to have the pizza.
that is freakin hilarious when you think about...but then its just so sick she's fighting to eat herself basically.kinda gross
haha.. yea its a lil weird .. miss piggy has really annoyed me since i was a kid, fo som reason.. i could never watch it .. .. but aanyway.. a good thing is if kids see these sorta ads and see the connection between a character they may like n then the food they gona eat.. they might consider differently for themselves what they really want to be eating ... hopes im so bad tho.. we have a compost in tha hostel where i work.. but people kept wizzing meat bits into it (even tho it says NO MEAT .. VEGETABLE ONLY!) .. so i decided to make it universally understood.. and now it has cute lil pictures of each animal (pig, sheep, cow .. ..etc) with a cross through it.. hehe .. no meat ever gts into it now tho!! anyway i think people shud know what theyr eating.. bugs me a lil when pepz r happy enuf eatn the dead animals in ignorance .. but then myb find it unappropriate to be reminded of that animal..
Totally agree with you, but some people (like my family) will know all too well but just not give a rats ass. I'm not convinced the Miss Piggy = pepperoni thing will sink in, as obviously that wasn't the intention of the commerical. Never know, it might work.
At the very last second of the commercial she pulls out a microphone and says "Gather round the good stuff!" I know it's just a puppet....but jeez. Anyway, if my memory serves me correctly, she also did a Denny's commercial that showed her promoting or eating ham and bacon or something to that effect, and it caused a small controversy. So apparently this is not piggy's first go at this type of thing..........
