Dog Fighting - Respectable tradition or ugly sport?

I feel true sorrow for persons who partake in such events. They must really have something missing in their hearts or lives.

 

Yeah, I have some bloodlust too. I'm a man. It's why I kickbox. I've broken noses before, I've given concusions before. I have gone hunting before. I have killed rabbits before. I've held them after. In retrospect I do feel bad for all of it however. Including people I've hurt kickboxing.

I am able to find clear perspective between this and the desire to watch two animals rip themselves up for threads. Of course theres more two it then money. The bloodlust and inhumanity's the primary reason. And to not be able to draw a line between right and wrong because you somewhat empathise with the primal kill instict is just insane. We're not animals and we've got to draw these lines.

whatever, rat. i've heard you talk about your food. it'd be just as easy for hunter to say to you that anyone who doesn't directly view the pain and death they'd caused an animal in the pursuit of sausages to go with their beer "what? you didn't know soylent green was people?!"

i know. sorry. i get pretty ticked off at the issue. for many of these people it's nothing at all to do with money, and i wonder what it is about us human animals that makes it so attractive for so many. it's ugly, it's painful, it's persistant and human-wide. we play act at such righteousness, but these things persist without end. they just go on and on. in the mean time we look askance at people who eat rats or dogs or cats like they're vicious monsters. when the reality is, we're just as vicious, just in a different way.
