12 1/2 out of the 16 1/2 years of my life, well, I only stopped fish at 10 so technically I've only been a real veggie for 6 1/2 years. Only veggie in my family (well I have a pesca/chicken aunt) I'd go vegan, but I get enough grief from my 'rents and everyone at school as is lol. I'm thinking in later life going vegan and veggie when the foods got through freeganism. (I'm not against the consumption of eggs, dairy, honey and the rest on principle, I just know that the entire mass farming system is disgusting and wasteful) Oh and cheers to all you uberlong vegans/veggies, you have given me a nice courage bolsterage!
5 yrs and 4 months as a vegetarian and Ive been off and on vegan since I became a vegetarian lol....I havent succeeded in veganism... but give it a couple a weeks I will probley want to try it again LOL
I'm vegetarian for 6 month only but i'm very young ! [14 =) ] (and, does someone speak french ???? Help !)
2 years vegi one month vegan haha. I gave up meat to see if it would make me healthier, and it did! so much!! going vegitarian didn't phase my my friends/family too much...but vegan? They don't understand it at ALL. But so far, so good. there are plenty of substitutes to help ween myself off of dairy (tofu cutties anyone?) and it really teaches you to cook! (nevermind i feel better then ever ) The only thing I worry about is that i lead a super active lifestyle, gym 5 days a week-surfing/yoga and am on my feet all day at work. hopefully this new way of eating will continue to keep my energy up!
Okay, I'll post it again. What about freegans? And what are pescas? I wonder if there are any successful fruititarians.
been veggie since i found out where meat came from as a kid. I freaked out and went so nutts over it that my parents had no choice but to humour me and let me live off veggies and beans. School always sucked cuz the only veggie alternative was peanuut butter and jelly,,,,everyday,,,wtf??? Still goin strong though. Over ten years .
i still love meat, its great stuff...im just against it enviromentally, don't believe there is any particular health benefit to vegetariansism, outside of feeling good about doing something green
