Minor Threat was a pretty good punk band. The UK Subhumans as well. MDC, DI, SNFU, CRASS also good. I have kinda moved on from punk, but I dont forget my roots.

Well i don't listen to any punk out of my country as i can't understand their message so well and punk with no meaning would be like listening to some random noise mostly ^^ I do love Estonian punk bands like JMKE, Vennaskond and Sõpruse Puiestee great bands if you get their message... My mom hates JMKE as they were just too trashed all the time but their lyrics are really great although any non Estonians wont understand a word...

You guys who like the Stooges should check out the Nymphs. The Stooges were a huge influence on them and Iggy was on the song "Supersonic" from their first (and only) album. Bonus punk points because the lead singer chick pissed all over the desk of the record label douchebag who screwed them over. That's funny that people actually think green day is punk. They are the the opposite that punk stood for. Punk was a political movement, a way of life, not a fashion statement that you buy at hot topic...
