Ever encountered a ghost? Or know of any cool places that are "haunted" near where you live? I used to live in an apartment building on the 3rd floor. well one night after we had moved in, I was all alone and I heard someone knock on the door. I got up to look out the peep hole, but didnt see anyone. The next night the same thing happened, but no one was there. 2 days later it happened again, and by this time I was so pissed off, I opened the door really quick after the second knock, and no one was there. I swear it was a ghost or somthing because my apartment was in a building, and the steps were tile, so I would have heard someone going down them. Plus none of my neighbors on my floor were home so it wasn't them. I think the ghost was actually in my apartment and wanted out. I think this because when my boyfriend got home, I had him knock on the door from the outside, and the inside, and the noise I heard sounded like it came from the inside of my apartment. Crazy!!!!!
The knocking wasn't necessarily coming from either side, as an astral being cannot knock on a door. It can, however, make the sound of a knocking door, but this is done through astral energy, not physical energy.
You said it, crazy. Ghosts don't exsist. Although the hand in the Carbon County Prison doesn't disappear. That I saw with my own eyes. But I don't consider that a ghost. And I went to Gettysburg, nothing there but a bunch of more crazy people.
I live about 40 miles from Adams, TN which is the home of the ghost called the Bell Witch. She's been featured on the Travel Channel and History Channel before.
I've seen plenty of wierd things I can't explain (while not under the influence, hehe) and one almost identical to crazystarr... but it'd be on the windows, the doors (including closet doors) and was *loud*. It would happen in rapid succession all over my apartment. I later found out from neighbors that someone had died in the apartment above mine... don't know if they had problems as well, but definitely creepy...
I believe there are energies (both positive and negative) not necessarily "ghosts" on this Earth. Its a bit of an imprint a human being leaves on this Earth when they leave. Like somewhat of a memory an object or building has of a person. My room is my comfort (my own heaven) and a part of me will always be in that room. But I think that there is another dimension that we pass into when we die. And this can open at certain times to let love ones visit. I can sometimes catch the sweet scent of my grandmother at times and sometimes the cigars of my grandfather. Just a little reminder to let me know they are watching me and love me. I've had one type ghost story with my dog Biscuit- I was about 9 yrs old and I still remember vividly what happened. In his last days he was in terrible pain and without the knowlege of my brother and I, my parents put him to sleep. I was devested and I cried all night because I was unable to say good bye to my cherished friend. (He and were really close and he was my favorite pillow). That night I was crying in my bed unable to sleep at about 10:30 he appeared by me. He snuggled up to me and kissed me it felt like he was still alive. I got to tell him I'm sorry for not saying good bye and that I missed him and I loved him. And he looked at me with eyes of this understanding and with that he layed his head down on stomach and I closed my eyes falling into the deepest sleep. In the morning I felt a feeling of relief for my falling comrade and sometimes I'll get a feeling he still with me.
Whoa, that gave me goosebumps while I was reading it. northernlehigh97-I feel sorry that you can't step outside of your own little world. Just because you can't or won't try to understand something, doesn't mean you should ridicule it. When you've experienced at least a fraction of the things we (at least some of us) have, then you can talk. But you should do less jaw-flapping and more listening.
After I vistied the Art Bell website, I was like, "shit, there might be ghosts in my house!" So every once in a while I would stare into a hall way looking for movement, that seems really dumb now.
I'm all ears...I've tried to experience it for myself, and all it was, was a bunch of crazy, paranoid people. That's why I went to Gettysburg. I was also in the Eastern State Pen.
And yet a friend and I have seen the same ghosts, and carried on converations with them? Right. All in our minds.
Spirits come to you. If you don't believe in them, and if you aren't really open to believing in them, they won't show themselves to you. Ridicule it all you want, but that's how they are.
northernlehigh97 if you are wanted to see a ghost you probably will be unable to do so. If you have ever had a loved one pass away, call to them you never now what might happen. Also even though I highly suggest not to do this because its a terrible terrible addiction I use to have. But I use to take sleeping pills (enough for small overdoses- like I'd take 5 or 6 when your only suppose to take 2) and doing so for some reason allowed me to remember more of my dreams as it put me in a deep yet awaring sleep. Many times if I had a issue going on I would almost say I needed help and sometimes love one would appear in my dreams. But its more of a chance when you experience something and you'll learn in due time just be patient and open minded.
