Hello everybody! My name is Hannah. I'm thinking about starting a family of adventure-loving canoeists to go on trips down all sorts of amazing, beautiful rivers all over the USA. There are hundreds of amazing rivers in America to explore. We will take our sweet time traveling down each one. It will be an incredible experience!

We will camp out every night. You can bring a tent with you or just sleep in a sleeping bag. I recommend that you do bring a tent because who knows the kind of weather we might have!

There isn't a designated leader of the tribe. Everybody will pitch in to help cook and things. Runners (members of the River Runners Tribe) will vote for a treasurer. The treasurer alone will not decide what the money is spent on, it's just a person that everybody trusts to keep track of and hold the money. Every so often, in between river trips, the tribe will go out into towns and try to make money. All of the money each Runner makes will be added to the communal fund, which will be used to buy food and supplies. We will always decide what to buy for the tribe to share (like food, supplies, equipment) together. Extra money that is left over will be re-distributed. We can always spend some extra time in the towns so everybody can make some of their own spending money to buy some personal items.

To join this tribe you do not have to know how to canoe. It's easy to learn. There's no initiation or fee or anything like that. You can come and go as you please. A donation to the communal fund would be greatly appreciated though.

If you would like to bring a pet with you that’s fine. Just make sure your pet is not violent (we don’t want any biting incidents) and does not bark or make loud noises too much and things like that (we don’t want to get in trouble.) Also, be aware that having animals with us is difficult because they may run around in poison ivy, which can easily be spread around if people touch and pet you animal. If you promise to watch your pet at all times and take full responsibility of him/her, any animal is welcome to come along.

If you want, you can meet us before we go on a river trip and spend a week with us on the water and then go back home! Canoe donations are greatly appreciated. I think I will buy about 3 canoes on eBay or Amazon to start the tribe out, and then maybe we will be able to buy more canoes as more people join our family.

If you are interested in joining this exciting tribe or donating a canoe, please e.mail me at rockinmyblujeans@aim.com

    Thank you!
