Hello everyone! I've been meditating for about 2 months on daily basis and I've been feeling this head pressure this past week. I usually meditate for 30 min - 1 hour every morning and night time. I am doing 'Insight Meditation' technique where I am just concentrating on my breathing. Since I am doing this everyday, I have no problem with thoughts arising and I can just focus my attention on breathing easily. I have also felt 'pita' or 'rapture' for about 3 seconds once where my mind was filled with joy and excitement. So I thought I was progressing pretty well. The problem is this weird head pressure has been occuring to me past several days. They usually appear between my ear and eyebrows where you can feel your pulse, I am not sure what to call them but I'm sure there's a name for that spot. I've googled it around and some people said it could be my energy blocking and stuff like that but I have to admit I'm kind of a skeptic when it comes to speaking of energies and so on. I have a feeling that I am concentrating on the wrong thing or concentrating too much. Or maybe I am simply meditating too much. Like I said before, I can sit for 1 hour with no problem and I no longer have to battle with rising thoughts since I can simply focus my attention to breathing. The only problem is this weird pressure. If anybody could give me advice, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I've had head pressure for a while now, however mine is caused by High blood pressure. Whenever I get stressed out I generally get it.

It may or may not be related, but you may want to have your blood pressure checked.

You mean the temple region of the head? Do some basic yoga postures to balance out the energy you experience while meditating. I used to experience similar things, but after doing some yoga it balances itself out. It could also be sinus pressure.

sometimes i get it WHILE meditating. it could be, like they said, sinus pressure or something body-related if it just started happening.
