I want to try smoking pot again (the first time I had a bad experience and blacked out) but I'm pretty nervous. I'd go through the story of the first time I smoked but it's long and probably boring. Pretty much what happened was I wasnt sure how much I needed to smoke (I was really new to weed, never even seen the stuff before), smoked too much and blacked out. I know the obvious answer is not to smoke as much but some advice on how to smoke, how much, where, what it feels like, anything would help. Thanks.
I would smoke a joint if it's your first time. Try to find somewhere where nobody else goes, like the woods, and just toke up with your friends. You'll feel real slow and happy. Tons of other stuff too, but it's hard to describe.
make sure ur expecting to get high. alot of people are like "ok lets get high" and their first time they end up thinking its scary and have a "bad experience" as u said cuz they feel weird. well thats because they are high and werent expecting to get high. so just expect to feel something
Dude just try & stay calm, chill out. If you start freakin & getting all nervous about it, you'll probabley have a panic attack (I know I have, didn't last long though).
I have a friend right now that has had 2 panic attacks in the past 2 weeks, its weird. never happened to him before and all of a sudden out of nowhere it hit him. note he is SUPER paranoid lol and hes been smokin for at least 6-7years
ok so heres some info i have, high THC content increases the heart rate, but at the same time it can also decrease blood pressure. u probably blacked out because ur blood pressure just dropped! and bam! For most individuals, a healthy blood pressure lies from 90/50 to 130/90. A small drop in blood pressure, even as little as 20 mmHg, can result in transient hypotension. the symptom of hypotension is lightheadedness or dizziness. if the blood pressure is sufficiently low, fainting and sometimes seizures will occur. so i suggest starting with just a joint as others have recommended. and maybe eat or drink something that get ur blood pressure up a bit. Just relax and enjoy it!
Ok, thanks guys. That's all really helpful. I have no clue why I blacked out, I've heard of people smoking alot more than I did and never black out. I think it was something to do with my blood pressure (like Hesh said) or maybe my blood sugar because I am hypoglycemic. I guess I just have to try and see what happens. I also read that meditation can help stop or prevent panick attacks, so I might try that as well.
if you're gonna try smoking again, smoke with people who you are comfortable with, and choose a place to smoke that makes you feel comfortable, and not paranoid or anything. burn a cd of your favorite music, and some chill music as well since you haven't smoked in a long time, and you're scared, i would recommend smoking in moderation. don't smoke too much, and just take your time smoking. if you feel yourself becoming paranoid, scared or sick just stop smoking and just close your eyes and chill out for a bit.
I think a joint would be way too much. I've been an everday day smoker for years and i get plenty baked off .1-.2 grams, thats like 3-4 hits off a joint, not 20+ from smoking a whole one.
