I don't know if it has been released OS yet, but maybe some of you Aussies have seen it?

I thought it was brilliant, and a far cry from the usual australian movie genre!!

Would love to know what other people thought of it, especially those not living in Australia - I wonder if it actually turns people off visiting??

ya i saw it, in the usa. i personally didnt like it. i mean they wasted 2 much time tryin 2 develop the characters yet the characters still seemd underdeveloped. i thought tht they used a lot of unneccessary fillers and the end really dissappointed me. hehe i sound really negative. i dunno tht movie bored me.

    Why character development?

    All you need is

Teenagers in camper. They get out of camper. Go off into the woods in small groups, like one. One takes her shirt off STAB one goes skinny dipping SLICE two decide to do the horizontal mambo EVISCERATE

beginng was kind of dumb, just some teens smoking pot all over the outback. but the end was great. too bad they dont really know what happened to the 2 girls. the only part of the kidnapping part that was real was the guy.

I love this movie. The characters in it are awesome. I haven't ever quite seen a movie like this. The scene where Mick goes after Chrissy in his hotrod is so funny.

I remember seeing this on opening day, Christmas haha.
I liked it, but did feel like it took far to long to get going, and then by the time it got going it was over.

Ugh. I thought this movie was absolutely awful. The one girl who was looking at all the video cameras was stupid for doing that, she should've just hightailed it out of there...didn't she get her spine ripped out right after too (if my memory serves me right) but I might be confusing her with one of the other characters.

I liked it, but thought some scenes were to graphic.

Brutal. His way of trapping people is ingenius and I think at the beginning of the movie it said something about 10s of thousands of people go missing from Australia every year. As this was a true story, I wonder how many of those 10s of thousands meet similar fate.

... I felt like the setup should have done more to make you like the persons involved, but it certainly helped with the tension. I also liked that fact it wasn't about someone lurking in the shadows, its was a simple He is bad, THEY are not. It seemed real, you know?

He didn't wear a mask or pretend to be some ghost or anything like that, he was just a sick individual with a terrible (yet entertaining) habit.

I thought that it was a fantastic film which really set a tone of ... OH FUCK.

Haha. much better than most of the shit out there, and the ambient music REALLY helped the tone of the film... you keep thinking theres hope... but there isn't.

Speaking of entertaining and hope, maybe ill start a topic on FUNNY GAMES....
