The movie wasn't nearly as good as I thought it was going to be. It was too weird and over the top. I also didn't like the ending.
I liked it quite a bit. The cruddy CG threw me off, and I thought immediately afterward that the ending was obviously something that worked well in a book but didn't translate %100. Overall, though, it kept me on the edge of my seat and I left happy. Will Smith was supposed to be 50-some years old? Come on...
I personally liked the movie. Although the CG wasn't perfect, I still enjoyed the way they presented it. I thought the infected looked cliche, but they did a great job nonetheless.
I also like that movie.. the story is good.. i also see lots of movies with some viruses that spreads through the city.. but I like I am legend most..
It was OK. It made me want to watch 28 Weeks Later, which in turn made me look slightly less favorable on I Am Legend. Incidentally, the weekend after watching both of them, I had a real craving for zombie movies so I watched the Resident Evil trilogy.
I shoulda rolled up the nine bucks i shelled out to see this movie and smoked it, the ending was so weak, he coulda tossed the bomb at those zombie fools and dipped out the little door with that bia, if anyone disagrees with my logic then let God have mercy on ur souls!
Yeah, I thought 28 Weeks Later was better. (And 28 Days Later was better than that.) The CG was terrible in I Am Legend, huh? Those zombie things weren't scary at all. I read the book after seeing the movie. It was REALLY different, but I can't say I particularly liked it any better. I actually thought I Am Legend was pretty okay for a while. Y'all are right, though, the end was LAME.
Like any other fantasy film, you need to suspend reality to enjoy it. If you start thinking logically then you can find all sorts of things wrong with it. I'd rate it,,,,,,,,,, average.
I agree completely with the ending. But I did however like the movie alot. I would've liked it better if the dog hadnt died though... lol
I didn't really like the movie itself that much (The ending sucked), but I liked Will Smith's performance. I mainly just saw it so I could watch the full Dark Knight Trailer.
No, I know what you are talking about though. I also thought it said "at age 52" but I watched it again and realized it says "at 8:52" referring to the time he died.
Yeah it was good until the ending that kind of sucked it could have been much better. The bit with the dog was quite sad though!
the DVD has an alternative ending.. stumbled across it today, here: http://www.firstshowing.net/2008/03/05/must-watch-i-am-legends-original-ending-this-is-amazing/ the fans of the novel seem to like this ending more. I dunno, once I read the comments, this ending made more sense.
I didnt mind the movie the whole way through i thought it was a bit empty and the ending was disappointing. Overall not too bad but probably something i wouldn't watch again! Ill have to check out this alternative ending.
I loved the movie. The ending was a little disappointing though... I cried like halfway through the movie but not at the end. Pretty fail.
I Am Legend was actually a very good movie, but the ending sucked. The action was on and off, which was kind of boring, and therewas no super awesome scenes, so I'd give it out a 3.5 out of 5
