ive been curious about peyote. does it still exist. I would like to get some. Sorry if this is point less but im just wondering? any help would be greatly appreciated
you can find them on the internet, there pretty expensive, you could alway just get a san pedro cutting instead. but it still dose exist, they have millions of em at the church of peyote for native americans
hope u have some years for them to mature... my friend up in montana is going to a peyote ceremony in a few days. wish i could join her. i hear there getting scarce in the wild to many pickers.. and no one planting 'em.
Human cultivated specimens grow considerably faster, usually taking about three years to go from seedling to mature flowering adult. but im sure more years would make them stronger. also if u don't know what a peyote button means: its just cutup/dried slices of the cactus... being about the size of a nickel or quarter.
other than being a psychoactive, native americans used the plant for its curative properties for treating such varied ailments as toothache, pain in childbirth, fever, breast pain, skin diseases, rheumatism, diabetes, colds, and blindness. although im a native from up north (sioux) and my people didn't use it, im very interested in entheogens.
In the time it would take you to grow peyote you could probably find a synthetic mescaline source. I suppose it's good if you want to grow/nuture something for a few years and then get the privilege of being able to eat it.
it would be like a reward to watch your plant grow to maturity and then be able to take your first clipping from it.
