Im new here , and im young , and i hope someone can help me with this , i been wondering since God created all mankind , and he doesnt make mistakes , then how come he would make some people Gay if its a sin ?
God wouldnt create a certaine group of people just to toss them into hell for acting on an impulse he put into them when he made them would he ?

    A few perspectives:
    1) Being gay is a choice. Therefore, God did not do anything.
    2) Being gay isn't a choice, but the act is a sin and gay people are called to celibacy.
    3) Being gay in't a choice, and the act is not a sin.

    These are highly simplified.

A lot of confusion stems from failing to distinguish between homosexual orientation and homosexual action. I don't think the Bible condemns homosexual orientation. People don't ordinarily choose what kinds of people they're attracted to. There is a debate about whether sexual orientation is a product of nature or nurture, and it hasn't really been settled (it probably is a combination of both). To the extent that nurture enters in, it might be possible to change the orientation through intensive therapy, but many psychologists think that could be psychologically damaging. As for homosexual activity, Hryorii mentions controlling that by celibacy. Lots of luck!

I am in a Southern Baptist home , so Im always hearing about how its this huge sin and we juat arent supossed to be gay. And even though i havent been with a male or female , other than a few kisses , i do have lots of thoughts about a few guys i know , and it scares the crap out of me because i dont want to go to hell , but what if thats who i am , and why would God maybe not MAKE me like this , but allow me to feel things thats going to send me there.

First of all, try this logic out japheth.

We already know that God loves you right? Ok.
Apparently from your prior post, you seem to have some homosexual tendencies. They scare you and worry you, and that tells me that you dont deliberatly "choose" to have these feelings.
God is a God of love. You seem to love men as men usually love women. Does this change the characteristics of that love? I dont think so.

Your 14 man. I was too raised in a Southern Baptist home. I always used to day dream about girls, and it scared me because I was raised to think it was bad. As a matter of fact, I thought just about EVERYTHING was bad. I was so scared about going to hell all the time, that I was kept busy from thinking for myself.
My mind turned into this near schizophrenic beast that was constantly at war with itself. It was true duality. As soon as one thought popped in my mind, instantaneously a polar opposite thought would present itself.

Do not be afraid of hell, my friend. There will be no hell for any of us. Finding and accepting who you are is the TRUE first step to knowing God. Why do you think your feelings are wrong? b/c someone told you they are? Think these things through for yourself.

Feelings of love are never wrong.
    Never.

Somebody also ought to mention that it's normal to have those thoughts and feelings. Most people do, from time to time, and it doesn't make them gay. Certainly everybody has had sexual thoughts and desires of some kind, and more people than would admit have had same sex fantasies. You're a teenager with raging hormones, for Christ sake!

Oh it is scary. You should definitely FEAR God!

After God made a woman for his man he became very jealous of men because of all the sex they could have. You see, God is alone in his God realm tugging on his willy with no where to poke it. So he starter taking his frustration out on man, making some of them gay, giving them diseases sicknesses and perversions like sodomizing children. God became like a boy who got sick of his new toy. He treated us fine for the first while then when he got bored he started abusing us and mutilating us. He tried braking man up in factions of race and religion and distract us from sex by having us kill each other in endless wars. One of his greatest achievements in oppressing our sexuality was the formation of his Islamic race. He plans on letting all other religions collapse while Islam builds and spreads like a cancer.

god did not make being gay a sin

his/her self-appointed representatives on earth did

btw i have known many gay people and all of them have known they were different as far back as they can remember

so they do appear to have been 'created' rather than 'converted'

    unlike so many self-righteous christians . . .

This world has made them gay? How is that? Do you mean that homosexual identity is caused exclusively by environmental rather than genetic factors?

i think they mean that the temptations of the world have done them in

i have frankly never understood this argument

as i have never been tempted to have sex [occasionally offered] with any men

i just think it is kinda yucky [not a judgement, just sexual aesthetics i suppose]

possibly the christians who think that homosexuality arises from temptation

    find it less so . . .

human beings are so removed from perfection that it is very well the case that people can be born gay.

But some have an inclination for same gender sex. Where does that come from? It's absurd to think it's their choice!

was it my choice to prefer the music of persia over the music of oklahoma?

    [c/w]

i just enjoy one and not the other

i have always enjoyed certain things and not others

sometimes like my parents and peers, sometimes radically different

    who knows why?

okie i think we may be arguing the same thing

    with different words

i do not think it is a choice

    or learned behavior

i think people are just different from each other

I was born gay, is another phrase for "My dad wasn't around much when I was a kid."

It's adam and eve, not adam and steve.
