on a previous thread it said not to smoke the leaves as they have low thc. does that still count for skunk plants?
lol.... leaves have low THC content in general..it pretty much goes for all plants... it all depends on how well it was grown, not the general genetics of the plant.. it pretty much depends on whether you see visible "frost"(trichomes) on the leaves.. then you will get substantially more high... although it will taste like shit and burn away very fast, still better than nothing.... but leaves are really good for making hash...if you can get a few ounces of frosty trim leaves you can make some of the finest hash if you know what you're doing...i wont even go there though..
In all my years, i have always known people who are happy as hell to smoke some of my leaf. sativa or indica or whatever it is you call skunk. Infact have had people comment that "this is some pretty sweet bud" while smoking properly cured budleaves. ( snicker snicker "this is leaf homie") My criteria being the plant's age not strain. It will not do much for you until 3-6 months old. I only pick the yellowing ones though. For the most part anyways. There is not a lot of potency to leaf, but you can get an idea of how good the bud will be ,from the buzz the leaf gives you.I can anyways. It all boils down to personal preference, try some, and try curing a little. Just don't let it dry out real fast- it needs to take a week or so to cure leaf slowly. Im to the point where im almost ready to harvest and the leaf is getting better than the mexican weed going around. Sure tastes better too.So I got about an ounce that kinda stays perpetual around here.I just trimmed a few this morning.
if your just smoking pure green leaf its not really worth it IMO, especially if you can get up to an ounce or more, thats where you wanna start making hash... if its frosty trim thats a bit of a diff. story, but still hash is the ideal way to go...especially if you're into taste and want more potency if you're really desperate for a buzz, i understand though..definately been there
yeh ive had frosty leaves and it was stronger than bud ive had before. the high was good too, it was light and clear, none of that heaviness on the legs.
