I did a high dose of DXM..and i legit thought i was mentally retarded for life. It was the most depressed experience of my life almost. I had to crawl to turn off my tv, and i could only mumble when i wanted to talk. Not to mention i walked like a robot when i actually culd walk. Actually thinking your mentally retarded for life, will make me never to do this drug in high doses again. Low doses sort of feel like a marijuana type of high, in a wierd way. Its alot of fun.
I've pushed it to the lethal point, up too 1600mg and higher, repeatly. It was the most power full high I've ever felt. I couldn't tell if I was alive or dead, my brain was floating in space, my eye sight was amped by x10. Then I left this universe, was speaking in strange languages to collums of white light. Then it all got really confusing, couldnt tell what was goin on, I kept hearing myself scream inside my head "I WANA DIIEEEEEEEEEEEE" and then I woke up the next day. It was a whole new world, everything was bright, my emotions were .... very changed, felt like I had been reborn. DXM is not a joke.
dxm can be bought in pill form (gelcaps)... u dont have to chug syrup. it can be very intense at high doses, if im on a high dose i like to take it in the dark, or wear a blindfold. it can be a crazy/wonderful inner trip. put on some headphones with ambient/electronic flows... its awesome. in june of 2007, research shows it doesn't cause olney lesions...
my dxm trip is over now, but i feel like im gonna throw up and i have all day.. the actual trip was amazing though, i was just completely out of my body, my mind was in a different world from my body. i couldnt move, i was paralyzed with shock at the wonders and oddness of my perception of the world. i just chilled in my rooom and listened to music till i passed out. then woke up feeling shitty. just for the record i took 500mg and i weigh 155lbs.
Whats DXM then? is it a worldwide brand or just around in the states. My mate drank a bottle of cough medicine once and told me afterwards he tripped out badly in a night club. He thought he was dancing with a pink elephant. Although his girlfriend did resemble one even without the mind expanditure.
DXM is short for dextromethorphan which is a chemical. its a cough supressant and is commonly found in cough syrups and such. when taken in very high doses it cause you to trip. depending on how much you take you'll get anything from feeling slightly drunk to having crazy visuals. see "http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/dxm/" for more info on dxm.. or any drug for that matter.
i just gulped down about 150-200mg (unsure exactly). it's been about 5 minutes but i'm feeling nothing. when does this stuff kick in? btw this is my first time trying it.
thats funny, i usually have a pretty clear mentality going into it. light doses have a controlled drunkenness to them, feeling all light and floaty. i usually felt the onset come on at the 40min mark on an empty stomach, the usual tingle of the scalp, then a slow stony feeling, but it can take over an hour to start feeling it. i stand at 6'2" about 195lbs. 200mg is a really light dose hatter, but its good startin' low as this being ur first time. i downed 300mg for my first dose + some herb which boosted it so much. watch a movie on light doses, i usually get so caught up in it, like i'm in the movie. and at other times i feel love, i just feel like i love everything. i haven't done dxm in so long though, i'll probably try it again in a couple weeks.
Well considering I weight 150, thats damn high, and I knew a kid in highschool who died after taking 1800mg. So.. eh..
200mg will make you feel a little drunk. not much though. honestly i think acid or shrooms are way way way better than dxm, although different and much less accessable. never done acid but shrooms are great. i wouldnt reccoment dxm after my experience.
