Sounds romantic, but if we all lived together, there would only be the obligatory acts of murder, back stabbing, childishness and promiscuity. Not to mention sodomisation and theft. Goes without saying in any community.
It's not strictly a dready fest per se, but Nelson Ledges Quarry Park near Garretsville Ohio is holding the Midwest Reggaefest from August 8-10 this year. Not too many details posted yet, but last year they had Lucky Dube (Rest In Peace man), Morgan Heritage, Carlos Jones and the PLUS Band, Dubflex, Ken Booth, I-tal, The Ark Band, Dub Is A Weapon, The Prayer Warriors, Jah Works, The Meditations, Mifune, and many others. I can tell ya from first-hand experience that this festival rocks! And the Ledges is the best festival venue in the midwest (in my humble opinion.) Tipi valley is awesomeness personified, but it's a little far for anyone but the UK dreadheads to visit!
Yeah the ledges are a little too crazy for me at night, but I really enjoy daytime there. I'd like to check out that fest to mingle with a ton of dreadheads and immerse myself if in some good tunes. I don't think too many people on this specific forum are near NE Ohio, tho.
Woah woah, lets get off our High Horses here and think rational. Instead of making our own civilization ( lol @ that), why not make a Knotty Know How get together, type of thing. Where people can all meet up in a convenient place, UK dreadheads in UK, and Americans in another. And we can settup camp, or hotel, pretty much anything. And we can chill for a few days. Smoke a couple Ounces, sing a couple songs, jam sesh, look at each other dreads. Go hiking, pretty much chill. It's realistic, and it's possible. Would take a bit of work to organize, what do you guys think?

NLQP does indeed rock but might as well be Wales since I moved out west. We used to go every year for the Floyd weekend. shroomery gathering - as in #shroomery? I envy the UKers for living on a landmasses that aren't insanely huge. You guys can have the best gathers since no place is re-cock-ulously far from another. For this reason, I don't think we'd be able to pull off a North American meeting of the dreads.

We could always meet up at the national rainbow gathering... however I will be at field school in TX so that will not work out for me. BTW i think this thread is immensely entertaining for some reason. Maybe because its so ridiculous.
