Aha- I just read on the metal forum you like motorhead. You should check out Hawkwind- psychedelic rock/metal, their bass player Lemmy was one of the founders of Motorhead.

Yeah, thers a bit of a story behind that album-
While he was on the run from the usa government he ended up in Germany in the early seventies. He was then exiled, or forced to leave Germany, so he headed over to Switzerland- home of LSD- the sandoz pharmaceutical company.
Wile he was in Switzerland the famous German space rock band- Ash Ra Tempel came over and they produced an album called Seven up featuring Mr Leary on vocals.
They improvised the whole album under the influence of lsd- legend has it Mr Leary spiked the bands cans of Seven up they were drinking, hence the ablum title.
Mr Leary sings about some of the theories and ideas in a book he was writing at the time- about the seven levels of conciousness.

What other bands you listen to?

im into alot of experimental work like i said above can, tangerine dream, brian eno, but i like the space rock groups of the late 80's and early 90's bands like Spacemen 3,Spiritualized, the early work of the verve, love alot of alternative rock like the band that i named my screen name after but i dont like the generic shit i like the more adventorous side of alternative, i also like some pretty straitforward rock and roll it just depends on who. anyone you know is playing there true selfs. im big time velvet underground fan, early pink floyd, jimi hendrix, miles davis, frank zappa... thats what comes to mind at the moment what about yourself?

Im into a wide variatey of music, I dont like to stick to one genre- rather to take what I like out of all of them, basicaly I like bands that are unique or take and idea to the extreme.
I mostly listen to krautrock- Amon Duul II, Holger Czukay, Cosmic jokers etc
    Neil young, hendrix etc
Also listen to a little bit of Black metal, and Doom metal is quite interesting- experimental/minimalistic.

If you realy want to take a walk on the wild side- thers been some amazing experimental, psychedelic, electronic stuff coming out of Japan over the years.
Check out Keiji Haino or acid mothers temple if you want your brain to explode and your eyes to melt out your face!
