snoop dogg, daz, OG radio, brotha lynch hung and sugar free. Did someone fuckin say Herbie Hancock?? When the hell was he a rapper? I missed that part of his career...
I would have to agree im not a big fan of Lil Wayne I think Lupe Fiasco is the best new coming rapper
2pac duhhh. "I'm hittin switches on bitches like I been fixed with hydraulics" That's just amazing. Pure poetry.
i can't tell if your being sarcastic or not over the net, but there's MUCH more poetic tupac out there. he had a lot of literal poetry like rose grew from the concrete, but there's a lot of poetry even in certain contexted hip hop songs. you can usually tell by the title if it's a poetic type or if it's just a money maker (which has become far too common today might i add) and if you are sarcastic you aren't funny in any aspect of the word.
I'm not sarcastic...I know he has a lot of poetry in his songs. I guess that wasn't a good example but its my favorite song by him. I guess I like that kind of music. I like a lot of different kinds though. Sorry for *possibly* offending you.
YES DEL!!!!!!! this guy knows what's up!!!!! 3030, Mastermind, Positive Contact!!!! for those of you who have yet to hear this master wordsmith at work... you don't know what your missing!!!!!!!!!!!
Yo, I just checked out that Lateef dude and that booyyy is an absolute beast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe that I just heard of him!!!!!! Del uses good words in ways that fit into the story he is singing, but Lateef uses bigger words in ways that, while they make sense with the last 3 and the next 3 lines, they don't touch the next stanza. I think that both artists are good in their own styles. Listen to these guys!!!!!
Nas, Tribe, Pac, the WU, Biggie, De La Soul, Spice 1, Big L, Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, Naughty By Nature
