Does anyone have any ideas on how to set wholesale pricing? I have been asked several times to wholesale, but I just can't decide what a fair price is.

For example I sell handmade pendants for $4. Should I go down to $2 if you buy ten. Or is that selling myself short? There isn't much overhead, but there is a little time invested. I probably have roughly 2 hours in 50 or so of them.

Any advice or comments would be appreciated!

    thanks

Who are you going to be offering the wholesale pricing to? That could affect your pricing.

If it's a gallery/headshop I would say yeah, half of what you would charge joe blow. If it's a customer who just wants a pile of them for whatever reason, I would go with 25% discount for 10+ pcs.

    Just my thought...

Are you a glass blower or just a bead stringer?

a basic way to figure it out is wholesale = cost x 2. retail=cost x 3. don't forget to figure your time and materials and everything into your cost.

    Thanks for the input.

I guess I am "just" a bead stringer. I make clay pendants.

Didn't mean it like "That". Sorry if that's what was implied by my "Just".

Do you do PMC work or regular clay?

If you'd ever like to incorporate glass beads or pendants into your work let me know!

    Good luck!
