Sounds like this is the place to be this summer. Everyone on the wakarusa forums are just eating the rothbury festival UP lol. Gotta love a good vibe :) And yes, the "Good Life" (cabins and hot tubs) are 1600 per person. VIP are probably much much less. But good life gives you vip access as well...

Veroness: Yonder and Lotus you could find both at a smaller festival im sure. Lotus is absolutely on fire right now, i cant wait to see them in early April here in Lawrence. I just caught them open up for STS9 at the Pageant in St Louis over Mardi Gras Weekend, and Lotus was just incredible. The amount theyve gotten better in the last 6 months is astonishing. And theyre playing a late night set at Wakarusa! They always kill it there as well....gonna be a good summer for sure lol. But on the other hand, i wonder if Rothbury will be the only time Fishman gets down with Yonder. That will be a special treat

i for one will not be going to the Roth.....they have a lot of really cool bands, and a lot of bands that make me wanna throw up all over my shirt. all i have enough money two fests, and i already baught my waka ticket (its so close and cheap for me, A+ music, never is a bad time.) and i will also be heading to Sonic Bloom to see my favorite stuff...but im sure this will be a jolly good time nontheless. The "first time" fests are always the best years to go. It was for Bonnaroo and Wakarusa, and im sure a lot others. Just magic in the air, its great

just the early bird which were 45 cheaper. But with all the hype and excitment around EVERYONE for this, i bet all 50k tickets go fairly rapidly.

I know there is no way to determine, but how much longer do you think before its sold out? I'm a festival noob...

I'm waiting on my sister to see if she'll be able to get it off work, but it might be a day or two before I know. I'm crossing my fingers there'll still be some for sale.

ha you've got plenty of time. I'd guess mid-may at the EARLIEST for a sellout. I know a lot people are waiting to see what all the festivals have to offer before dishing out the cash. I do think this has great potential this year for a large festie.

I wouldnt worry about a sellout. There are always people selling their tickets, and the closer to the festival time, the cheaper they are. I rarely buy tickets a week before the actual even.

this is the first time i've seen anyone say that they actually got early bird tix, it's nice to know they do exist. i know of people who bought theirs at 11:58am (they went on sale at noon) and still didn't get early bird.

I am so fucking excited to see Thievery Corp. I've been loving them for years and I've never gotten a chance to see them live... much less at an awesome festival environment such as this! SO FREAKIN STOKED!!!

the line up is awesome, and it looks like it will be a great festival.

tickets are just a little ridiculous, i'd rather spend the money on bonnaroo or lollapalooza

    Hey Misty,

You gotta ignore the name of the festival, and look at the lineup... I think the Rothbury lineup is ten times better than Bonnaroo... I use to dream of doing Bonnaroo one day, but to be honest, I'm not up for haning out with a Metalica crowed for a weekend... sure the band is ok, but the vibs just won't be the same...

I think something happend (not sure what it was), but someone said MTV got involved with Bon... and since then, its been a shitty festival... (imo).

Here is gonna be more intimate, smaller crowed (cool vibes), and really, I just paid $250 for a ticket... I know some wierd folks that paid $300 to see Elton John for about 2 hours... ;)
